Halo 3 was my first and it has gameplay mechanics that set it apart from other shooters (Reach does too, but I feel 3 has a more unique play-style/feel and experience). Anyways… 3.

I wasn’t a big fan of the armour abilites, and the fact that we had to play Forge maps due to lack of weapon spawns was very disappointing.

Reach had a better campaign, forge and custom games, but matchmaking was more fun on 3.

Reach. Only thing bad about it armor lock. Halo 3 still remains the slowest of all halo games.

Halo 3 for nostalgic reasons…

Playing games like fat kid, duck hunt, ghost busters in custom games…

How can you not miss that?!

I would go with both.

Reason: Halo 3 Introduced new armor and allowed to choose between Sangheili and Spartan. This game introduced the Armor system to customize your player. Halo:Reach introduced the story line before Halo:Combat Evolved (which is when the HALO event happened on Installation 04, not 04B), new armor, and new weapons. Reach also added different Sangheili.
