For Halo 3’s 10th anniversary, they could just port it to Xbox one since there is no need for a graphical upgrade.
I don’t see the point of doing a Halo 3 Anniversary.
I don’t mean like a big celebration or anything, it would just be a cool thing to get on the 10th anniversary.

Will you in three years? We all say now that we don’t need a H3A, but who knows… maybe come 2017 we’ll all be begging for it.
Halo 3 Anniversary…I don’t think it would be possible, IMO.
I’d like H2A first. And I’d rather no more anniversaries after that.

I’d prefer original content that actually expands the story, not rehash after rehash covered up as a celebration.
Sure, I’d like a Halo 3 Anniversary. In 2017.
An Anniversary port for Halo 3 might not be needed. If you investigated the [REDACTED] that dropped yesterday you know what I mean.
I look forward more than I look backward, so this has zero appeal to me. I’d rather play the new stuff than the old, dated stuff. H3 might’ve been the GOAT, but that time was ten years ago. The times have moved on and I predict Halo 3 would play ploddingly and slowly on this new console.
I hopped on board for CE:A but only because of the multiplayer expansion it offered. It was decent but not worth the sixty bucks. I am strongly against any future Anniversary editions as a cheap ploy to take more of my money without giving me anything really new.
A pc port would’e been better
It depends If we get H2A everyone will expect a H3A. Who knows a cycle could start of every Halo being remade. In that case I will pass on Halo 5 and wait on “Halo 5 anniversary” LOL. Sarcasm aside instead of a H3A I would rather see this http://halofanforlife.com/wp-content/uploads/Halo-Legacy-wmHFFL.jpg

Yea. I’ve been waiting for that.
H2A should be the last remake.

Halo CEA should be the last remake. I prefer it when stories are expanded, not duplicated with a brand new font and clean pages.
As for a Halo 3 port: If we’re just going to port the game to the One, why the hell should we wait until the ten year anniversary? If anything, the games on the 360 should be ported to the X1 as soon as possible.

Yea but Halo 2 was so… unfinished.
It desperately needs polishing, and it’s got some stuff unique to that game only that I’d like to see in HD.

If the current direction of Halo didn’t have so much potential for insane story telling, I’d want a Halo 2 Anniversary. However, since I am quite eager to explore the new realms of Halo that 343i has laid out, an H2A would do nothing more that block off the flow of storytelling that could have happened otherwise.
While it is true that the story could be expanded via terminals and other objects of that nature, it wouldn’t be nearly as compelling if it were in the form of an entire campaign with hours of storytelling. Also, since I was quite disappointed with Halo 2’s story (despite going into the shoes of the Covenant, it made little attempt to answer most of the questions about them including but not limited to “why the hell are the Covenant attacking humanity?”) and I was quite disappointed to how weak the battle on Earth was. When I was waiting for Halo 2 after the first E3 trailer, I was expecting full scale war on the planet in a way that truly shows the terrifying potential of what the Covenant can unleash on its enemies; while I wasn’t entirely opposed to the change in direction, the execution was HORRIBLE and NOT worth remaking.
Also, most people who want H2A want it for the classic multiplayer. Assuming that 343i and CA pull off a CEA, you can expect that the multiplayer, if it exists, won’t be classic and will be adapted to the new Infinity settings.

If they do H2A, they may as well do H3A. Give themselves a version of each original trilogy Bungie game.

But…
Fancy graphics!
Well, we’ve all got our opinions.
I personally prefer a H2A.
C’mon tree-fo-tree!

And that’s ANOTHER reason on why I dislike Halo 2: Anniversary – it could start a chain reaction in which everyone wants each Halo game to be remade which in turn pushes aside the ability to tell new stories.
After Halo 2A, what’s next? Do people want a Halo 3 Anniversary and then a Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary Anniversary?
As much as I’d love to see something like the interior of High Charity in HD, I think 10 year anniversary editions for every game will be a bad habit to get in to.
Perhaps an original trilogy HD Package for the 20th Anniversary or something. Anniversaries need to be meaningful.
CEA wasn’t just an anniversary of the first Halo. It was a celebration of 10 Years of Halo, and Xbox. It had a lot more meaning than an HD touch up or a simple “Its been 10 years!” party.
