Do you think 343 would ever consider putting Halo 3 on pc?
Consider it? Yes.
Will they? Not until MCC is fixed on Xbox. After that, there is a possibility they may port the MCC (with Halo 3 of course) to PC.
They sort of did… but it never panned out. I imagine some day it’ll be available on PC, but I’m guessing not for awhile.

We’ve slowly seen more and more support for Halo on PC, so I can definitely see it happening eventually.

If they do, it’ll be after 343 is done with Halo 6

Why, though? I’m curious as to why you believe people should be punished for not buying the “correct” platform.
Or is that why you enjoy it? Do you enjoy having a leg-up over the “competition”?

It is still ‘Xbox’ exclusively. ‘Xbox’ is also on PC though, which is what all Microsoft exclusives are released on.
I’m not sure what the issue is, the games are still exclusive to Microsoft’s ecosystem so Xbox players aren’t losing anything. They make more money from game sales than console sales so even if you were to switch from Xbox to PC, Microsoft still gets your money. You, however, are getting the choice to choose a console experience or a more customised experience with in alot of cases, cross platform play, without losing access to your friends because of a platform difference.
If it was on PS4/Switch i’d see the argument but as far as this goes, I can use my PC to play because for me, 60+fps is always a priority whilst I get to play with some of my friends who prefer Xbox. It’s a win for both.

It sounds to me like you partake in the console wars and can’t stand the idea of the “competitors” playing “your” game.

LOL like you even know me. I don’t think it’s “my game” at all. If you are so adamant about Halo then I’d assume you’d be on the Xbox side anyway as it’s a XBOX CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE. I don’t care about competitors either, if there is no competition then there is no reason to play the game. Not to mention I like campaign more than anything I don’t play Halo for multiplayer more than anything. Don’t assume you know someone keyboard warrior.

The closest I get to choosing sides is refusing to support companies which significantly screw over their consumers.
I don’t mean multiplayer when I say “competitor”; I’m talking about Sony, Nintendo, and PC.
They’ll have to pull something off. Halo 6 will be on PC with their play anywhere initiative. I’m sure it would help sales if MCC were on PC as well as the true Halo 5 experience and not just Forge.
