Halo 3 ODST DLC Required

Error message on Halo MCC when selecting halo 3 ODST campaign to play Error reads: Halo 3:ODST DLC Required

Halo 3:ODST is not installed. Would you like to visit the Xbox Store?

End error message

I already have this game installed and already own it. I think the new MCC update caused this issue. I was one of the people that got ODST free of charge. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This issue needs to be fixed ASAP by 343i.

You just have to go to your Games and Apps, select MCC and the manage saves and DLC option. Once there check if ODST is actually installed. If it is not go to store and search ODST, it should cost 4,99. You can actually get it for free ( as you owned it ) if you select download/install button, which should be next to the BUY button.
You have not ODST installed as the error message comes up.

This is what should happen.

I would check to see if it is in fact installed or not. If it is, uninstall it and re-install it as there appears to be an error. If you don’t have it installed and own the entitlement, it will appear in your available to install list.

I’ve tried this multiple times, and it just keeps saying that I need to install it. I’ve now also completely removed the entire mcc and re - downloaded it and then installed odst when it comes up and then go back to start it and get the same error …

Hello!
I found a bug (and temporary solution).
I’m Polish and my copy of Halo: TMCC is of course in polish.
When i tried to play Halo 3 ODST DLC it always show me that my dlc is not installed.
After many attempts (uninstalling, reinstalling, removing to external drive, console hard reset, installing from disc, installing digital version from a game pass) I almost give up.
I didn’t find any solution because nobody here (en-us market) have the same problem.
So i understand that problem exist only on language side.
I’ve changed language from polish to english in audio menu.
Game automatically starded downloading a language pack and now everything works…almost.
Almost - because if You want play other parts in your native (non-english) language and then again you want to play ODST you have to download a language pack again (about 800MB).
I believe that this problem could be fixed by a quick patch.P.S. Sorry for my english

So I tried switching languages and then installing the dlc again. Still no luck. Tried going back to English - nope. I also think it has something to do with it being on the One X as I’ve got it on my reg One and it works without any issues. Was really looking forward to playing ODST in 4K HDR with all the rain and night time scenes. Hopefully it will get patched soon.
