Halo 3 ODST DLC Content question

Hello guys, I need your help

I am a huge Halo Fan and I want to complete my Halo Collection. I already have Halo Reach Halo 4 Halo CE:Anniversary and Halo 3:ODST.

Now here is my problem. As all of you know there is the Halo 3 All DLC disc in the Halo 3:ODST game included. Now I am planning to buy Halo 3 but I am not sure if online or retailed.If I buy it online(which is quite unlikely but still) and download it does my Xbox recognize that I have all the DLCs already due to Halo 3 ODST so when I start the Multiplayer from my Xbox I can play all the DLC content without putting the Halo 3 ODST Multiplayer disc in.

Or are there other problems related to having the Halo 3 ODST Multiplayer on disc and the normal Halo 3 one downloaded.

I hope you guys can help, this is my first post so don’t be too harsh. And sorry for language mistakes English isn’t my mother tongue.

Despite English not being your first language, it’s pretty good.

Anyway, to answer your question. The extra maps from the Halo 3 All DLC disc aren’t playable from the Halo 3 disc, even if downloaded. However, several map packs that include the new maps featured in the Halo 3 All DLC disc are downloadable, and some are free.
