Halo 3 ODST Code - Lost, Can It Be Recovered?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to recover my Halo 3 ODST code… I know I received it in my messages two or three years ago, but for some reason, when I go to redownload the game, it says I have to pay $5. Is there anyway to recover the code?

If you received the code from Xbox Live, you should be able to access your message history. There’s a button for seeing messages from Xbox Live in the Messages tab in the Guide. Scroll through and you should be able to find the code. This is assuming you haven’t redeemed it yet.

However, if you have redeemed a code, you need to highlight the MCC game tile, press the Menu button on your controller, scroll down to “Manage Game and Add-Ons”, scroll down to “Ready to Install.” ODST should be there.

By default all Xbox Live messages expire after 30 days so if you didn’t redeem the code at the time and didn’t note it down, there’s no way to get that back. What you can do is reach out toe Xbox Live Support, but I don’t know if they would honour it after all this time. Always save a copy of codes like this if you aren’t going to redeem them right away - messages expire but the codes themselves don’t.

If you did redeem the code when you got it a few years ago then you don’t need it anymore - it won’t work anyway as it’s been used. In this case you can follow what tuhin94 said above - got to manage game and any additional DLC should be available form there.
