Has anyone here noticed all of the similarities between the two stories? Dante (The Rookie) ventures throught the 9 layers (districts) of hell (Covenant occupied Mombassa) to rescue the most important woman to him (Dare)? Plus, the 9th layer (Data Hive), is the coldest of all the layers (levels) and that the hero’s unexpected ally (the cop) ends up betraying him.

You spelt Inferno wrong, and yes, being a die-hard ODST fan, I noticed that a large portion of the game itself is a massive easter egg, referencing Dante’s Inferno, the first of three sections to The Divine Comedy - A LONG TIME AGO.
It’s as if the original poster discovered Skulls for the first time ever.
