Halo 3: ODST 2!!! Who Would Buy This???

OK, so, I’ve been thinking recently about Halo 3:ODST and I thought: Why not bring out a second??? I think this would be a great adittion to a Halo 4 trilogy, and if someone was thinking the same idea, why not post your idea for a basis on the game below???

So, here’s my idea:-

Campaign: Prepare to Drop into the flood infested city of New Mombasa!!!

OK, so, basically what the storyline is is that the ODST’s are deployed into New Mombasa again. You know in Halo 3, Floodgate??? The Master Chief leaves through the portal and takes the story away from Earth. Well, ODST 2 would show the story of Lord Hood and every last “man, woman, and child” to repel the flood from Earth and hold out while master chief fires Halo. The team would, once again, be seperated, the Rookie could be deployed with his team when the Master Chief is still on the planet, and The Rookie could fight with the Master Chief and secure his behind so his mission to get to the ship is a success. The team would eventually regroup, and, venturing to numerous locations, find the flood and neutralize them while protecting the chain of command. The campaign would end with the Master Chief destroying Halo, along with it the Flood. Dare would say “What just happened?” when the team is close to death at the hand of the flood and suddenly, the flood all die. Buck would say “The Chief! He did it!” And you know, so on, so on…

Firefight: Drop into Covenant hot spots and neutralise the threat they pose on neutralising the Flood onslaught.

Well, as the summary suggests, it is EXACTLY the same as the original ODST firefight, just with new maps, maybe different game types, and Bonus Rounds consisting of the Flood. Maybe an objective other than Survive could come into play here, like defend this area for as long as you can from the Covenant until UNSC reinforcements can arrive… this could take place so that, if you survive over, lets say 3 sets or something like that, then the next time you “die” It cuts to a cutscene like in Halo Reach lone wolf, but where UNSC pelicans drop in and neutralise immediate threats and go on to win you the firefight. Kill streaks like, for example, if you can get 100 kills without dying, you get a round where the enemies are just grunts, or maybe Pelican attack or support gunships help you out until they get shot down, or until the end of the set.

Multiplayer: For the first time in the Halo: ODST experience, drop in to live simulated combat grounds for ODSTs.

Simply multiplayer. Includes Coop firefight and Campaign options, but also a new game mode: Moshpit. Similar to BTB Heavies, this pits teams of 10 together on close quarters maps with BIG weapons and BIG vehicles, but with less Hitpoints. Similar to COD hitpoints, but for vehicles, i.e the Scorpion wouldnt be invincible because it would be unfair. COD hitpoints only apply to the vehicles though.

Theater: Live combat replayed in the ODSTs drop pod.

Theater mode, but when you see a film, you see it with a background of your pod. In other words, its not full screen, but a big screen in the ODST pod.

Extras: Download your DLC, and drop into new combat situations, videos, and more.

The extras section, but with each campaign mission you complete within certain parameters mentioned, for example, kill 50 grunts with the M6S Magnum, you unlock a bonus combat situation, played 1st person, where it takes you with the Master Chief through the portal and you fight along side him as an ODST, you know, like the ODSTs on the Halo 3 mission: The ark. Also, a mission for you would take you with Sergeant Johnson to the third tower on The Covenant, and you manage to survive and call for evac.

So, what do you think???

I thought when chief and arbiter destroyed the infected ship in halo that “glassed a good part of the continent” according to lord hood. If anything I think it should be a spartan ops week dedicated to it and that’s about it. I wish we could do everything you listed but sadly it isn’t practicle of possible

I think a good idea for ODST 2 would be that the ODST team along with the Rookie can maybe a find the beacon for the Forward Unto Dawn or track it’s signal or something at the very end of ODST 2.

If your going to have another ODST game, it shouldn’t have anything to do with Halo 3.

Ever heard of spartan ops!!!

I don’t have faith in Spartan Ops in Halo 4. Okay, so i’m probably just being a bit critical but 343 is turning Halo into COD. Spartan Ops is Spec Ops people. Halo isn’t COD, it’s Halo. That’s why I propose a completely new game, not just a few episodes in Spartan Ops. But, I will admit, Spartan Ops IS a good addition, but it is just too much related to COD for me to give it praise. Don’t get me wrong, though, I’m not insulting Spartan Ops, it’s just the fact that it’s blatantly obviously related to COD…

No, I’m pretty sure that when the Flood escaped and broke out on Earth, the Elite Shipmaster glassed the Continent, not the ship itself.
