I currently own the odst version of halo 3. With this version I own all halo 3 dlc but lack the campaign. 343, will I get the halo 3 campaign for compensation when you make halo 3 backwards compatible?
No sorry OP, unless you have Halo 3 on disc or a digital copy (it was part of Games with Gold a while back) you won’t get it for free. You can probably pick up a cheap 2nd hand copy somewhere if you want to play campaign again
Why do you expect compensation for this? The campaign has always been on the original halo disc and not the mythic disc. You can literally pick up the original halo 3 disc for 50 pence. It’s not that deep mate.
No, there is no “compensation” for you not owning the wrong disc that doesn’t have the original campaign. You may go to any used game store though, and pick one of for just a few dollars. I myself just picked up another collector edition complete case/disc for $7.

No just that version has never come with campaign, even if you get the normal edition of halo 3 (with Campaign) youll get the DLC free, can pick it up for like £4 second hand, just checked on amazon

Yeah I picked up two sealed “Don’t sell before 9/25/07” copies and the Limited Edition for $10 for all 3 on ebay about a month ago.
That does suck. They need to make story mode playable on Halo 3 Mythic rather than us relying on another disc. They should just terminate Halo 3 from existence and make Halo 3 Mythic the actual normal Halo 3!
Mythic was a bonus with ODST because, unlike other Halo games, didn’t actually ship with its own multiplayer. If you want to play the Halo 3 campaign, you’ll need to buy Halo 3.
