Halo 3 - My Story

I may just be a voice of millions, or a man with a worthless opinion, but Halo 3 had to have been one of the single greatest games I have ever played in my life as a gamer. This is my story…

I remember the first time I played it. A friend was spending the night, and he happened to bring over three games. One was Left for Dead 2, the other was Call of Duty MW2, lastly… Halo 3. I had never played any of those games at the time so I said,“Hey David, let’s play Left For Dead 2! That sounds like a fun game.” and we played it. “Hmm… This game just doesn’t seem fun.”, so we proceeded to start playing Mw2.

“No.” I said with utter disappointment. “It’s too realistic.”. But then I saw Halo 3 getting pulled out of my friend’s backpack and I said,“Hey… What about that game, David. That game seems cool.”, and I was right. It was the best gaming experience I had ever met. My friend and I proceeded to play that game until the sun rose (11:00AM).

A brand new futuristic world with explosions, vehicles, weapons, aliens, all that a gamer could ask for. But alas, it has now been 4 years since that grateful day, and no more than two thousand people remain in the game as you’re reading this. For the sake of nostalgia, entertainment, and pure enjoyment. Take a few seconds to put that dusty ol’ Halo 3 disc and your Xbox 360 and just enjoy it one last time. For Halo as we know it will soon be changed forever before our eyes by 343i.

Thank you for taking your time to read this. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to play some Halo 3.

Halo 3 will always be my all around favorite game to play on the 360.
