So I was thinking about downloading my old copy of Halo 3 for backwards compat but I was curious if anyone still played the old matchmaking?

Yeah I still play it along with some other people as well, pretty much the population as I type down is 886 players…well that’s depressing. It was around 2000 players when the last time I played it, do wish more people play Halo 3 bc or on the 360 tbh

People do still play but it seems that the only playlist you’ll have any luck finding a game in is Social Slayer

I just got halo 3:ODST at GameStop today and the population sucks, but it’s still a good game and worth buying it, especially because it’s only $5 at GameStop. When I got on the total players online was 309 but then it went up to a thousand 5 minutes later. So I was wandering if my player count wasn’t updating or if it was a glitch.

Nah it just depends on the timezone pretty much, or it must’ve been updating

It’s pretty dead tbh. If your lucky you can get a doubles match going but you’ll continually run into the same teams

It is pretty dead but like I said, if you really want to play, Social Slayer will usually throw you into a game within a minute or so. It’s the one playlist that still lives in Halo 3. If you manage to find 6, or more, friends to join you, you can play just about any unranked playlist you want since parties are allowed
