Yesterday, I decided to play some social matchmaking. When it chose Halo 3, the match was going fine, until at one point the game froze up and shut off my console. After turning the console back on and restarting Halo MCC, I started social matchmaking and it chooses Halo 3 a second time. The game froze up and shut off the xbox again, but this time only a few seconds after the match started. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, is there a fix for it. I’m playing on a base Xbox One.

Its a known bug with MCC on the xbone. Happened all the time when i had a One X. I dont think theres a fix for it.
All you can do is clean your Xbox and turn off skins if you’re playing on an old Xbox One or Xbox One S.
Basically the console overheats and it automatically shutdown to prevent any physical damage.

Turning custom skins off helps A LOT.
