Man I wish 343 did things once in a while to get players on halo 3.
What would you like them to do? And… what would be their motivation? Why would they want more people playing H3?
Makes me think of the good old days… Now i’m sad…

My thoughts exactly. They’re hard at work with the Spring 2018 Update for MCC which will bring attention back to the game which means more games of Halo 3.

Well for starters there motivation should be making up to us classic halo fans for tons and tons of disappointment, lies, and empty promises. We could start with MCC and the complete split up and dying of classic halo population because of this disastrous failure of a game. 4 years later it’s still a broken and half -Yoinked!- game all together with unfixable glitches and horrible code. Not too mention the basic principals of making there customers happy which they seem to know nothing about or even care about whatsoever. Not everything is about profit and fattening there pockets with money while were stuck with unfinished and broken games.

People act like 343 intended on making MCC a broken game. Mistakes and errors happen. Does no one remember how broken Halo 2 was for Bungie? How it was incredibly buggy and how they had to completely chop off the third act of campaign? That the E3 Campaign demo wasn’t actually in the game?
When MCC came out, 343 knew it was busted. They tried their best with the resources they had to fix and patch what they could. Just because something is broken, doesn’t mean you spend all your time, money, and resources into fixing the game until its 100%. At some point, you have to move on. If 343 was still working on MCC, we wouldn’t have seen Halo 5: Guardians yet. We should be thankful that 343 Industries is coming back to update The Master Chief Collection one last time. Going back and working on a game from years ago is something no one does in the industry. A game is released, usually gets about a year’s worth of attention, focus, and DLC then it’s time to move on to the next title.

How would any of what you said get people back on Halo 3? And havent you heard? Theyre fixing MCC.
I honestly don’t understand how you can still play Halo 3. Of each game in the series, whether standalone or part of MCC, it is by far the worse in terms of networking and shot registration. Even Halo 2 and CE multiplayer plays better over Xbox Live, and one game is utilizing a server type it wasn’t built for while the other had 0 online capabilities. Halo 4 and 5 using purely hitscan for any bullet-based weapon just makes it feel more natural.
There’s really no way to back up Halo 3 being “good” nowadays in terms of gameplay because it was only good for its time. I’m sorry but I can’t buy into the fact of aiming 5 feet ahead of me for a slowmoving target 25 feet away from me. IMO its the worst in the series and should be left as such. Hell even the H3 Anniversary Throwback playlist was more fun than the original.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I feel that people think that the Halo 3 on MCC is exactly the same as it was as a stand alone game when its really not. They’re two completely different games

H3 was ported over but the bullet registration is worse than the OG game. Even then the OG game sucked with it more than the others but still wasn’t as bad as it currently is.

LOL! It’s a night and day difference. It’s HORRIBLE on MCC. Its puts me into rage mode every time I’m forced to play it
