Halo 3 MCC Vehicle Physics Feel Wrong

I first noticed this when I was riding off a ramp in the Warthog on the final campaign mission of Halo 3, and the Sentinels sent me twisting and flying off to one side. Simply put, I believe that in this version of the game, bullets and other weapon-fire impart far more momentum into the vehicles they hit. I have noticed this many times in multiplayer, especially while driving lighter vehicles like the Ghost and the Mongoose. Back in the good ol’ days, I used to drive around BTBs trying to get splatter kills on the Mongoose for fun. I have found it almost impossible on the MCC because an enemy shooting at me with their BR can bring me almost to a complete halt. I have been flipped over in my Ghost or Goose from just a couple BR bursts hitting my front fin or tire. I’m curious to see if other people have experienced something similar, because for me, it takes away some of the fun of vehicles when standard firearms have such a noticeable effect.

I’m aware I could also be misremembering the vehicle physics from the Xbox 360 version, but I just felt that something about it was off.
