Why are maps like Waterfall and Edge added to Slayer with just 8 players. Everybody just quits the game because you meet one opponent every 4 minutes. If maps are to be added, then why not classic maps like Beaver Creek? Stop messing up the maps or add a veto system. Please, do something right…………
Waterfall plays fine, it’s literally no different in size than Construct or Orbital. Halo 3 maps are meant to be 5v5 so the issue is more of a matchmaking one than a map one.
Edge on the other hand is pretty meh but the same can be said of existing maps from existing packs. For instance the entirety of the heroic map pack, which originally went free in 08 due to how poorly received the maps were.
This years Anvil maps are essentially just another map pack, all thats good and bad with map packs of yesteryear included. If anything, I’m hoping we get the remaining H:O maps next year too, an Anvil 2 map pack if you will.
If you’re only seeing an enemy every four minutes, one can only guess how obnoxiously slow and methodical you’re playing…
And adding maps like Beaver Creek would have to be made from scratch-- these Halo Online maps are transferred over from existing assets as it’s based on Halo 3’s engine. (To my knowledge, anyway-- correct me if i’m wrong.)
Edge is ‘okay’ not great but not terrible…
Waterfall is an awesome map imo.
Really want more classic maps added like Beaver Creek, Backwash and Ivory Tower god H3 versions would be wonderful.
Edge is o k a y, Waterfall is good and I really love Icebox but yeah I can kinda understand why you wouldn’t like some of these maps.
I wonder why Bungie made the move from 4v4 in Halo 2 to 5v5 in Halo 3? And also was there a 4v4 playlist on the 360 version of Halo 3?
Nah mate, but believe or guess whatever you want of course. Players quit the game most of the time so maybe, but just maybe that could be a reason for never being able to get to 50 before the timer. And I’m thinking to myself, why are they quitting in a tied game instead of quitting when they are 20 points down. The 5vs5 note below makes it perfectly clear for me btw.
I don’t really know what else to say, when you’re telling me that against a team of four you can only find someone every four minutes, it says more about you than it does the map. Players quitting making it difficult to hit the score limit is something that happens on any other map.
Of course I exaggerated a little. I really don’t know what else to say if you don’t get the point. But it’s okay mate, no problem. Not everyone gets it…
Everyone gets the point your trying to make: the maps are too big because H:O had sprint.
Not many people agree, and to some it comes across as being little more than opposition to new content for the sake of opposing new content, which when considering how CE and 2 also received exclusive maps with their initial ports to PC, seems pretty extreme.
I’d assume it was something maybe to enhance social play maybe but I honestly have no idea. Ranked I believe was 4v4 but social was the 5v5 if I’m remembering it right.
