Help I’ve been coming in first and second place in halo 3 lone wolfs and I’m not ranking up. Did I leave any games= NONE. I do have a restricted NAT type and in one of the game I got kicked without going offline. Need Help. Any answers to resolving this problem. Example rank 14 game: 1st, 3rd, 1st then rank up to 15 game: 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, then ranked up to to 16. shouldn’t it only take one match.
Once you get to the higher ranks you will need to win more games in order to rank up.
Be careful not to leave a game or lose constantly since it will derank you.
Good luck.
I’ve hadn’t lost a game let been staying up there in 3rd to 1st. Haven’t gotten deranked yet either.
What’s your rank?
EXP: 64 Rank 16, Gunnery Sergeant
> EXP: 64 Rank 16, Gunnery Sergeant
Yeah, for the rank your at you shouldn’t be experiencing this problem.
I haven’t played this in a while but I recommend you playing a few more games and try landing 1st place. If you can get 1st place a few times in a row you should be set.
I’ll try and thanks
Yeah, levels 1-30 in Lone Wolves are simple. As long as you finish in the top 2 or 3, you should be fine. Once you get to 30, it takes longer to rank up. I can’t imagine high 40s in LW. I can barely keep a 37 in LW as it is.

It depends on what ranks you are playing against even at that level.
If all you are doing is beating up on rank 5s it isn’t going to rank you fast no matter how many wins you have. You need to be winning games with ranks at your own level and above you.
Ranking is a probability based system with weightings associated to your rank, your opponents rank, your position when finishing and the relative positions of all other players. Do some statistical analysis on all your matches.
Its funny that people still dont udnerstand the ranking system. It bases changes in rank on how you did compared to expectations you have created. For example, you can strategically lose 5 games, and get a lw 50 in under 100 games from a fresh account. On the other hand, I have made more than 5 accouns that were level 48-49 after 130-150 games of placing in the top half and no losses. stay on a perfect record until you reach approximately level 32. At that pint, try to get 3rd twice. Then get first again. I use this tactic, usually jumping 4-6 levels each time from level 30 to 32
