…Which is a shame, because the MP is better than Reach (which while different, I still enjoyed a lot) and much better than the atrocity that is Halo 4’s MP.
This game is so good yet I saw 625 players online total today, and that’s a 24 hour counter too. I’ve gotten back into Halo 3 and it’s still as good as it was when it released.
When Halo 3 dies, Competitive FPS on consoles will take a massive hit, competitive FPS is on it’s last legs too, and 343i have the hammer to smash it’s kneecaps or save it with Halo 5.
343i, please make Halo 5 multiplayer more like classic Halo.
ITT:Talk about your best Halo 3 memories.
EDIT: Yes yes you’re all right, the counter is indeed broken, later in the night it jumped to 6.7k players, than back to 99 and even 0. My mistake. Although I do fear the game will die within a year, Halo 2 lasted 6 years, next year is Halo 3’s 6th and I doubt Bungie are going keep old Halo 3 servers when Destiny drops.
It’s certainly broken for Halo: Reach. There’s no way the Super Slayer population is ALWAYS at 614, no matter what time of day I play.
I’d probably rank Halo 3’s and Halo: Reach’s (TU, of course) 4v4 to be about equal in terms of enjoyment. However, Halo 3 certainly has the better Big Team.

150 ticket Heavies and some great community maps have put Reach’s BTB up there with Halo 3 imo.
although I’d have to put Halo 3 on top because of Rat’s Nest & Sand Trap. but still, Reach is a good alternative for those days when Halo 3’s BTB population sits @ 0.
hopefully they both stay afloat. Halo 4’s BTB is so bad.
