Your way off. BIg team slayer alone sits around 7-9 thousand daily.

Edit: and also if your taking your player count from the games then most of the time Halo 4 is wrong sometimes it will go down to like 300 in one playlist and then i play a game and and they go back the the high hundreds and thousands.
Big team infinity slayer on mine is almost always between 5000-9000, sometimes more.

Backup servers, man. The matching servers have been twitchy lately. When the regular ones come back online, you’ll see the population numbers on your screen jump to 20k or so.
Just checked on mine, big team is 5,919 and slayer 3,360. Last night I remember big team being around 8 i believe
The population counter for Halo 3 uses a 24 hour system, I think. At least that is what I heard and can easily be wrong.

The 24h was for the population counter on Bungie.net.

You are seeing the backup servers. However I do believe the population of Halo 3 and Halo: Reach together is greater than that of Halo 4.
Do the daily Halo 4 population counts include the people in the back up servers?
As other people have said you’re way off. Halo 4 sits around 5-6th in the top 20 XBL charts, with Reach usually sitting 18-20th and Halo 3 isn’t even in the top 20.

I doubt it. I’m not sure the backup and primary servers communicate all that well with each other. I think the DNF glitches that people experience are due to being matched on the primary / backup, and then the servers switching to the backup / primary during the game. When that happens, perhaps the stats for the game are unable to be saved. The last 2 DNF glitches I experienced were during times where I noticed that the game was switching between backups and primaries.

2 is the best, 4 is the worst, but Reach, ODST, and 4 are all well below CE, 2, and 3 in quality.

There are 6448 players in BTB alone right now on Halo 4, and 4273 in Infinity Slayer.

Halo 4 is not worse than Halo Reach. Neither was ODST. I’d pin ODST above Halo Reach and 4 though.
