halo 3 had the right multiplayer we need

it had a playlist for competatives and casuals that this game needs.

what this game needs to have is a casual playlist in addition to a competative playlist

basically it’s all the stuff from competative but coppied over and here are some differences i could see between the two

competative playlist you earn more credits for winning
competative playlist your BPR is visable but its not is casual playlist
competative playlist is void of AL except in big team battle and invasion

this is just a rough sketch of idea to seperate the two differnt sections with, and i honestly think the game would do better if it had this. and i need feedback on what you say to this stuff like what else could be differnt

Sounds like a good idea with some refinements.

well im just getting sick of it being so hard on decideing the stuff for one playlist between casual and competative wants so if competatives get their own playlist to do what we want in and casuals get their own as well everyone can get along

only problem than is bloom and grenade damage since thats not simply changeable for just one playlist and not the other

Halo 3 didn’t have the right multiplayer everyone needed. Ranked playlists were too important.

Actually, there must be something “ranked” and “social”. Ranked games must be concerned by the victory/defeat, BPR, it should be without bloom, etc. And Social games must be like Reach is currently.

Ranked and social, yeah that makes since. But why would you give one part of Halo the four star treatment and the other two star? Balance between weapons is enough of a problem as it is if your going to include bloom and then not include bloom it would become even more difficult.
Social, “The DMR is to difficult to use.” Ranked, “Theres no reason to pick up another weapon!” Actually ranked would probably be happy with that. But as a social player I wouldn’t.

bloom IMO and grenades need to be tweaked for everyone. but how is giveing a playlist something it needs, and not giveing the other thats fine as is, giveing one playlist 4 star treatment and the other 2 star?

I think they should bring back when there was Arena Doubles, Arena FFA and Arena Slayer, but use a ranking system like Halo 3 of 1-50. Your rating would sort of fill an invisible bar (like halo 2s bar) and eventually you would rank up if you are on a long winning streak the rating would multiply like say 1.1x your rating.

A lot of people don’t like bloom but aren’t necessarily good enough to be in arena and have a good time. Thats what I mean. Bloom is frustrating as it is. Tweak it to work better or get rid of it. I’m not good enough to be in arena. But I REALLY don’t like bloom.

I have to disagree. If you took the time to understand the ranking system of Halo 3 then you would see that your spartan and player ranks was different. Player ranks were achieved when you got a certain amount of EXP from playlists. Officer rank was the same thing except that after you get a good amount of Exp you have a choice to either go ranked or continue doing Social until you are forced to do ranked to rank up.

So the Spartan Officer Rank gave people a push to try out ranked playlists and get better at the game. Halo Reach doesn’t do that as Ranked doesn’t do anything and 99% of the playlists are basically Social.
