Halo 3 had the best Mark V (helmet at least)

Looking at THIS video showcasing the Halo 5 variant of Mark V, It looks pretty derpy.

Halo CE (anniversary)
Halo 3
Halo Reach
Halo 4

I gotta say Halo 3/4 are neck and neck with the best Mark V re-design (IMO) Reach’s was okay but abit too boxy

They all look good, though I prefer the CE look. We <strong>just got Mark IV*</strong> and it basically looks like 3/Reach/4’s Mark V already.

Yeah I did. Obviously. lol.

I don’t have it yet, I guess I forgot they added it already. The point still stands that Mark IV looks like the Mark V in the previous games. Not sure if you actually read my post, I’m sure you would have realized I simply misspoke. I edited the post so it won’t confuse anyone else. lol

but im starting to think that the armor they show in the video could be Mark III as shown in halseys journal, you’re right about Mark IV looking similar to mark V, helmet wise at least

I did too, it’s just abit too skinny and not detailed enough, but that was just the art style not mixing well with the armor itself

all bulky armor in Reach looked funny to me

I’m surprised so many people liked Reach’s version over the others, Not saying it was bad, just that its odd narrow skinny version seemed abit off in my eyes in comparison to the other variants.

I don’t like Halo 3’s version. The lines on the visor are weird.

As for my favorite, I can’t decide between Halo: CE Anniversary and Halo 4.

Yes they should use the Halo 3 model as the base for the Halo 5 version. Would make it different enough from Mark IV and not look ugly and weird like the one they are making now.

My favourite version post CE is either Halo 3 or 4. The halo reach version just looks like a insult to the original.
I need that helmet. Every one of my halo mp spartans have had mark 5 helmets.

I do not like the visor design of the halo 5 version. Probably looks better with the legendary visor.

If they had went with the Halo Wars Mk IV then I would have been very happy. What we got is quite different, although decent.

Yeah, I like the Reach version a lot too and I have the same criticisms as you. I don’t know what it is, I can only guess it’s just us being partial to Reach’s art style or something.

Loved it in Reach the most, and in all the other Halo games… but 5’s just looks ridiculous fugly.
