Halo 3 Forge is Broken

Halo 3’s forge does not work as intended because you cannot edit gametypes. In Reach, Halo 4, and now Halo 2 Anniversary, gametype selection is done from the pregame options menu, but in Halo 3 it was selected from within the game itself on the pause menu. The Start New Round feature still exists on MCC’s Halo 3 Forge pause menu, but the gametype selection is gone.

This limits all Halo 3 forging to default objective placements and starting positions almost entirely eliminating custom Foundry and Sandbox maps, along with the ability to make subtle changes such as the starting positions on MLG Pit vs Default Pit. Even things like classic Grifball can’t be recreated since Halo 2 has no hammers and Halo 4 has sprint.

This is a relatively low priority issue but now that the game is starting to come to functionality I thought I should bring it up

It doesn’t look like we’re going to get it fixed. Probably intentional on 343s part.
