Halo 3 Forge and Custom Games wont load - HELP

I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this problem but, for me Halo 3 Forge and Custom games wont load. I can select all the various options to set the game up but when I hit ‘start’ it flicks over to a picture of the level I have chosen, the little loading icon bottom right of the screen continues to spin and the loading progression bar doesn’t move. It stays the solid black colour. I have been waiting close to 5 minutes and no change. I actually have to go to the dashboard and quit the app to get out of it. It also doesn’t matter what map I choose - same thing. It only appears to be Halo 3. Halo 1,2 and 4 I can play Custom and Forge games just fine.

If you have any information or possible solutions please let me know - I want to hunt down these skulls.

This is off topic, but when you forge in Halo 3, does it let you select other gametypes besides basic editing?

No, I believe I am only able to select basic editing. It sounds like this is a problem for everyone from what I read.

Problem solved. I was advised to reset my console by holding down the power button on the front of the console until the Xbox turned off. As soon as I started it back up I went in to Halo 3 Forge and loaded a map and it worked straight away.
