So I wonder why they didn’t bring Halo 3 to the PC? I mean they brought Halo and Halo 2 but why not Halo 3? I mean Halo 1 servers are still going to this day. I mean can you imagine how much money they will make if they made Halo 3 for PC. It’ll be cool if they brought it to steam.
What do you guys think?
Halo 3 is coming to PC, I know it.
It’s in the AMD Catalyst drivers (http://www.gamefront.com/halo-3-for-pc-mentioned-in-latest-amd-catalyst-drivers/) and it’s also in the Steam Database (Halo 3 And Other Titles Sighted in Steam Database - IGN).
Microsoft said they had no plans, but they also said that about Age of Empires II HD like a week or two before it was released on Steam.
There are also job listings that say Microsoft are trying to monetize steam, along with the fact that Games for Windows Live is shutting down in July 2014, and most if not all games are getting patches for the removal of GFWL (see: Halo 2, it’s also in the steam database).
Another point to back this up is that the Halo 2 Servers were shutting down on February of this year however a day or 2 after the Steam leaks they extended it to June, and since then have again extended it to Early 2014. Why would 343i extend a games shutdown by a year (and make it sound like good news: http://bit.ly/18ZAKPH) if the game only peaked at around 20 people? Because they’re updating it, silly. Probably to work with steam, I’m not sure what else they would do if GFWL was shutting down, unless hey, there’s always Origin, right?
