Halo 3 EXP Lost And Locked At 0

Hi I was playing Halo 3 Multiplayer and some hacker stole all my EXP and Rank and now I am a recruit and I never go up in rank or gain EXP anymore. My EXP is just 0. I have had the account for over 10 years, it is registered on Bungie.com with stats dating back to 2012 where the rank was a 5 Star General with over 5000 EXP. Before my account was hacked the EXP was 7246 and I was a 5 Star General. I am a 50 in nearly every playlist to include MLG. I am so disappointed and saddened about what has happened to my account and would like it fixed please.

Did you join an infected lobby by chance and play out the game in it’s entirety? Basically did you find out during a game that somebody was hacking and still stayed in the game until the very end? If this is the case, then you essentially violated Xbox LIVE Code of Conduct, and the alterations are not reversible.

From the New LIVE Code of Conduct/Community Standards Page:

’Cheating, tampering, and the use of exploitsSince competition is best when it’s fair, a level playing field is one of the most important requirements for gaming. When people cheat, use exploits, or otherwise tamper with hardware or software to gain a competitive advantage, it ruins the experience for everyone. Because of this, cheating, tampering, and the use of exploits is never acceptable on Xbox Live. Like, never.

For example, don’t:

  • Intentionally play with or support someone who uses unauthorized mods’And with Terms of Use, you are responsible for all activities that occur on your account.

From LIVE Terms of Use:

‘Because information personal to your Xbox Live subscription will thereafter be available to you via the Xbox Live, you are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Microsoft Account password and account. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account on the Xbox Live. Microsoft will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your account, either with or without your knowledge. However, you could be held liable for losses incurred by Microsoft or another party due to someone else using your account.’

You are indeed a Recruit Grade 1 now as per the site’s stats, though you have 131071 EXP, not 0 EXP according to your service record. The issue here is that the site doesn’t state if that is positive or negative, and if it is negative, this is very well the reason why you are not ranking up. Win some games to see how that alters the number here on the website. If the EXP on the site goes down from winning, your EXP is negative now and being that negative, well I don’t see it to be possible to be able to get it back to where it needs to be.

If an Infected Lobby is not the case, then you will have to provide more detail with your case.

Okay it was definitely some sort of infected lobby. However, I never even entered the game. The game was locked and while the map was loading I identified the gamertag of a hacker and went straight to dashboard. Once I returned to Halo from the dashboard, I was a recruit. I have played on the account and regardless of how many wins I get the EXP remains 0. I really would like this fixed. That hackers gamertag for others to identify is <mark>Redacted</mark>
