Okay so my friend and I were playing Halo 3 yesterday, good times. Anyways, we finished a game of social slayer and we go to the lobby. All of a sudden, our playlist ranks go up to 5 star generals, and we look and have both earned exactly 100,000 exp with only just over 1200 games played. I would like to point out that there are NO hacks involved, first I’ve ever seen this, couldn’t find anything on the internet about it.
Hello Deadly Chippy.
100,000 EXP with one game? That seems very suspicious. Has anything else on your Halo 3 account been affected? As in, are there any unlocks, armor or otherwise, that you KNOW you should not have? I’m not entirely sure what caused this glitch, so more information would be appreciated.
Well, I just looked and I have the recon helmet unlocked, which I don’t remember unlocking or if it was given to everyone, been awhile since I’ve played Halo 3. I never got all of the vid master achievement. I still have a couple of shoulder slots locked. It added the 100,000 exp only to social slayer, so I have 100,067 exp in that playlist and 100,748 overall. Very suspicious indeed. Levels for playlists stayed the same, only things that changed is exp and rank, I’m now a Force Colonel.
You cannot find the stats online because they aren’t updated anymore, to my knowledge. But it reads crystal clear in game and lobby that I have 100,000 credits earned with not even a fraction of that many games played. If you want to add me and look, my gamer tag is Deadly Chippy
Hey Deadly Chippy.
This is actually happening to a few people as of late. In one of your recent games, it sounds like you ran into a modder who has done some stuff he shouldn’t have done and at the end of the game, instead of getting 1XP, you got shot up to 100,000.
Please reach out to Bravo on Twitter, someone else ran into a few modders recently and he DM’d him his email, asking to send any proof of it and he’d investigate.
I’d like to stress this the most though - this is NOT a glitch.

Recon was given out to all players who played Halo 3 before Halo 4’s release for the most part. I may have to add you and check it out myself. I have a feeling that one of the people you played with that game was doing some…suspicious stuff that may have affected every player in the game. It’s just a theory, though, but I don’t really know how else this may occur…
EDIT: The Little Moa’s suggestion is probably your best bet to get this issue resolved. If you need anything else, let me know.
Hmmm I looked at the other players from that game afterward, and saw nothing similar. But I had assumed something like that, just trying to wave a white flag here, haha. That was quite a few games ago, though. So I’m not sure how I would go about finding those gamer tags.
By the way, I appreciate your guys’ quick response time on this matter. I’ll be sure to reach out to bravo ASAP

If you haven’t played another Xbox 360 game since this issue occurred, the films for the games should still be in your temporary history.
If you can remember which game it happened after, upload the film to your file share and let Bravo know.
Wow, I’m surprised it saves that many games for theater. I found it, it was the oldest one in there so luckily wasn’t gone. Wasn’t hard to remember because I played with those same people a couple of games and they were talking some trash…

Awesome!
Hope your issue gets resolved, it sucks when stuff like this happens.
