When you first saw the Halo 3 ending did you cry because you though Master Chief was dead? I did. :smiley:

Didn’t cry… Thought he was dead though. Only found out that he wasn’t the next day when my mate said to watch the credits.

That became almost a staple to anything after 2000 which is when credit teasers began their popularity.

Common sense and sensibility. I didn’t even think he was dead. I knew they left it open-ended. Just didn’t think they’d start a whole new trilogy.

I’d rather him dead.

When Halo 3 ended I was very please they laid him to rest the same way he came into or hearts.

When I played Halo 3 for the first time it was with my friend on release day. I wasn’t too knowledgeable on Halo back then, I had to ask my friend what “117” meant scratched onto the memorial. After he told me what it meant I just thought, “It can’t be.” I can’t remember if we watched through the credits after our first play through, I’m sure we would’ve, but it didn’t take me long to find out he wasn’t really dead (which I was rather happy about.)

I was in shock due to how epic the whole ending was. I also loved all of the final cut scene. Brilliant.

I was sad it was the end of Halo and MC. I didn’t think in a million years halo 4 would happen. Reach never impressed me. Once MC left the picture I felt like Halo was done forever. Halo 3 was a great ending to an awesome trilogy.

No, I was young and I didn’t understand what they were saying. But I was wondered why isn’t he in the last cutscene.

But I did want to cry because I finished the game…
