I made a post on the Bungie.net forums. I’m mainly going to update that thread but here’s what it says:

Note: I know this has been commented on a couple of Youtube Videos.
ALL HALO 3 FANS LISTEN UP. September 25th marks the 4 year anniversary of Halo 3. We will celebrate this day by keeping the Halo 3 community alive and playing it at 2pm Eastern Time. We will hopefully make the servers as populated as they were before, and prevent Bungie from taking down the Halo 3 online servers to make us play Halo Reach, while also bringing the original Halo experience back to life.

It would be impossible to have the servers be populated as they once were, i like the idea but only like 50-100 people will read this thread, and only about half of them will remember… i wish it could become popular again :frowning: lol

  1. It hasn’t been put on a few videos, it’s been spammed and reported so many times that 6 people already lost their accounts.

  2. Halo 2 lost it’s Live because it was a Xbox 1 game. Microsoft no longer wanted to support Halo 2 or any game for the Original Xbox on Live. If Microsoft released a new console tomorrow, it would be AT LEAST five to six years before they even dreamed of turning off Live.

  3. I’m getting sick of seeing it, I know you’re just passing the message along but to be honest, it’s getting very annoying, if I or anyone for that matter wish to play Halo 3 then I will pop it in my console when I want to, not when some teenage spammer says so.

Hell, if those idiots wanna believe that, let them as long as they’re spreading this around.
