Every time I go to load up a game of Halo 3 (and ODST) I get a black screen and booted back to my desktop. This has been happening since the Mythic first dropped. I haven’t seen anyone talking about this issue which makes it very difficult to find a fix. Does anyone experience this same problem?

I had the same problem… here is the fix!

goto settings
-
goto gameplay
3, In the list on the left select Halo 3
- go down and turn off new skins.
Thats it … Worked for me.

I am experiencing the same problem, and I tried turning off new skins; no luck. Still boots me right after setting up the game.

I tried that before and it didn’t make a difference. 343 really needs to address this problem.

If your on steam, I would start by selecting the game in steam and check the integrity of game files. I had that happen to me with gears 5 and I had a corrupted file. It just redowbloads the bad files and away you go.
This works not only for PC, but also for console.
Tried this, the files are all good. Still can’t get in a game. I’m on PC steam.

Ok. This one sounds strange, but turn the clock rate and memory clock all the way down on ur gpu. Use Msi afterburner. I have an issue with infinite and gears 5 on my asus 1080. That solves crashing issues for me.
