Should Halo 3 Classic Throwback Playlist stay as a permanent playlist?
I say yes because after playing this playlist I am happy because I enjoy playing the playlists it’s as simple as that. If it is fun and entertaining why would you get rid of it. This playlist plays sooo well that I hope there is always a no sprint/spartan ability playlist in every halo.
Sure there are a few things to tweak in the playlist regarding spawning and weapons being too over powered. But this playlist is pure fun I absolutely love it! In my opinion it should stay as a permanent playlist in halo 5 and it should only have things added to it. More maps and game modes.

Simply no, the playlist doesn’t even play like classic Halo, well all it’s going to do is split general population. I’d rather put the playlist up if they figure out how to make it play more like a proper Halo 3 playlist because in it’s current state it’s just unplayable, is generally not fun to play.
The playlist should go away and never return. Only because it splits the community up and if people want to play Halo 3 then they can go back to MCC. Halo 5 and MCC both have loads of problems like crashing, freezing, and other issues that should’ve been fix already. But 343i only cares about HWC and trying to make everything in Halo super competitive.

Well then you won’t have to worry about it splitting the population if it’s unplayable and not fun to play.

The reason why I say this is because in H3 Playlist you start off with a BR which back in the day was consider core and as for the maps most of them are made for the core route of things.
But I will say I miss the style of the maps and having vehicles on the map for normal 4v4 gameplay. If only MCC would get rid of the stupid vote system as well as all the other problems, then people can relive those good memories from the past.
Total waste of time and effort, the play list is missing the one thing that everyone talks about when remanissing about halo 3 “the battle rifle” it earnt legendary status amongst halo players who like me have been playing since the start of the franchise, I dont understand how I can find one on a H5 game map but not on the game it originated on, if only the whole experience was available to players they would get an understanding why we love this game, yet again 343 missed a good opportunity to get people to enjoy the full experience and then go and buy the MCC
gutted.

What are you talking about? What do you mean with your statement that I made bold?
Damn right this playlist needs to be permanent. We were all begging for a classic playlist for years. The fact that it isn’t permanent now is criminal.
only if the hopper gets updated as a result. as it stands now, there are too many bad map/gametype combinations (iso flag, narrows ball, etc.) and conspicuous absences (heretic) for me to want to play this as a permanent playlist, especially given H5 lacking even something as minimal as a veto system. i’m willing to suffer the bad games for the chance at good ones in a temporary playlist. i mean, it’s matchmaking on a wide variety of halo 3 maps with guaranteed BR starts - that’s better than you can get in MCC right now. but without the novelty, you’d be hard-pressed to get me to stick with it in its current state.
It’s not quite H3 and it’s not H5. I’ve never been a huge fan of Forge maps but these ones are done fairly faithfully to the feel of H3.
I know there’s a big audience for the playlist - I’ve always managed to get a game fairly quickly.
And that I think is the current state of Halo - some want some updated features and some want what we had a decade ago. Caught in a trap of lack of innovation outside of a set of core mechanics.
