My Halo 3 campaign won’t load whatsoever under any conditions. I purchased the master chief collections digital bundle and it seems everything works except Halo 3 campaign. It will go to the loading screen and not load. I tried reinstalling it, that didn’t work.
I am getting the exact same problem. I left in mid December for holiday and was on mission 5 of H3,and when i got back yesterday I could not resume my Halo 3 campaign or even start a Halo 3 mission from the start…
Same thing is happening to me today! I also was 3 - 4 missions in but haven’t played since the last couple patches. Can’t load any Halo 3 single or multiplayer maps now, am I permanently screwed?
I had the same issue on the last mission. What i did was loading the previous mission, played it through, and then the last mission loaded successfully

I was having the exact same problem after I finished halo 2 and tried to start halo 3. What I did was went to settings and turned off my internet connection and then did a hard reset. Got back into halo mcc with the Internet still off and when I went to try and play halo 3 campaign… it worked! Then as I played through the first mission, got two of the skulls and finished, and didn’t get any achievment notifications the whole time even when I finished. So then I saved and quit before I went any further, turned My internet connection back on, waited, then checked my achiements from the snap page and as it loaded my achievemts started appearing one after another. Whew! lol. And since then The campaign has worked fine even while being connected to the Internet and achievements pop up as being completed. Hope this helps!
Same thing is happening to me I’ve played through halo 1&2 with no complications, started halo 3 had to save and quit by mission 5 because let’s face it we do need sleep. But now it just sits there on the loading screen! Mine is not a digital copy, bit ice checked the disc it’s fine, I’ve loaded all the games and they work perfectly. I’ve tried reinstalling it, staring a new campaign, starting on a previous mission, I’ve even tried to skip a mission but it still just sits there on the loading screen. I’ve even tried the Internet thing and is still will not work, please someone HELP!!!
Verify your console region. have to be on United States or UK
I just started having the same problem, not being able to load campaigns on Halo 3. I last played on April 30, and when I went back today to keep playing, it wouldn’t load. I tried deleting and resyncing my game data to no avail. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the game to no avail. Offline attempts to load campaigns also failed. This is no fun at all!
I haven’t tried the internet or regions yet. But i have the same story as everyone else. Started playing campaign got to the mission “Cortana”. I took a break for a few days and now no aspect of Halo 3 will load for me. Not a different mission, not a new game, nothing. I reinstalled the game and re synced my save and have had no success. Other campaigns seem to load without issue. A real fix for this would be nice.
HAd the same issue. Finally got around to playing halo 3 in the MCC, and it won’t load. The internet fix worked but you need to disconnect the internet, then you have to do the full xbox one reset, holding the power button down for 45-60 seconds, Then it worked for me, I was able to plug it back into the inet after saving a game in H3 and it still works.
This is one of the issues 343 needs to address along with the other campaign related bugs. It sucks that we still waiting on a fix for these types of bugs after all these months. 343 needs to get off their lazy butts and address these issues soon, its crazy we still having these problems 6 months in.
The Halo 3 multiplayer maps won’t load for me in matchmaking either.
Go to settings and verify your region US or UK. Click on reset and then hard reboot your xbox (hold down on the power button). This should help clear up any issues.
I verified my region and clicked the restart now button and once the console came back up i was able to play Halo 3. I was not offline when i did this.
