Be patient.
Don’t rush in against the tougher enemies such as Brute Chieftains. Stay back and headshot them with a precision rifle to remove their helmets and get s clean easy headshot. And when it comes to the Flood on the cortana mission, dual Plasma Rifles are your friend since it cuts them down pretty quick in this game.
