Halo 3 is imo the best halo game. Agreed?

I agree. Halo 3 was balanced, introduced users to Theater mode and the ending was acceptable unlike a certain other game.
if they updated the netcode i’d still be playing it.
I thought Halo 2 was superior, so I bought Halo 2 PC and had a blast which lasted a while. However, once I got used to it, I came into agreement that Halo 3 was a better game because it is essentially Halo 2 with better graphics and just better everything.
Now, regarding the BR and it not being hitscan, I never noticed ever. Probably because I don’t usually pay attention to whether I win or not.
And equipment, I don’t see what’s wrong with it.
And then the feel of Halo 3 was just a chiseled, more defined Halo 2 feel. and Over time it evolved into it’s own majestic feel.
Almost agree with you. Halo 3 is easily the best Halo this console generation but overall I would have to give the title of best Halo game to Halo 2. That game was the mad note.
Halo 3 is still amazingly fun.

Halo 3’s campaign is so epic. We did a run through this past weekend and I had so much fun with it.
It’s tough, but I’m going with 2.
Halo 3 is my favorite, it was the first game I every played on Xbox Live, so it holds a special place in my heart, though Halo 2 is a close second.
IMO Halo 2 by far, then Halo 3. I love both these games to death, but Halo 2 is my favorite game ever made.
I just miss halo 3 matchmaking. both social and ranked, it was just soooo much fun. I wish the controls were the same as reachs or therre was an option to make the controls the same because im so adjusted to reachs controls that I just can’t play H3 well

Dear Gawd, no, Halo 3’s campaign was completely atrocious! The MP was fun, but the campaign really discouraged me from buying a copy of it. The only reason I bought it used was because I wanted to own every Halo game and to get the Single-Player achievements.
Halo 3 didn’t have a difficulty curve, it had a freakin’ difficulty roller coaster. Sierra-117 is the first level and it’s filled to the brim with Carbine Jackals and Sniper Jackals, who can kill you in one shot on Legendary. In other Halo games, they only threw several Grunts, one or two Elites and a few Jackals at you at a time. Halo 3, however, threw a DOZEN of Brutes at you at the same time with minimal cover and no way to flank them.

I play Reach with the Recon control scheme. That way, transitioning between Halo 3, ODST or Reach isn’t that difficult.
Halo 3’s campaign was 11 outta 10. The multiplayer was a 10 outta 10, and all other features gave me an all-round score off 33 outta 10. Yes, it’s that good.

I love every Halo game equally and I play them all at least once a month when I have time.

Note: I’m only talking about campaign. I’ve played a bunch of custom games with friends and family and enjoyed them.
H3’s campaign was pretty easy to me (but that was after I used the noob combo, sticks, glitches, and bypasses) but I think that Legendary was bs and gameplay was subpar to Halo 2 and Halo 1. The damage was high, weapon reloading was slow, enemies were speeded up making sticks hard and some weapons redundant choices, plasma pistol sucked big time compared to the H2 plasma pistol, the needler was a travesty in that it was too op, dual wielding still didn’t change, no button combos and reload glitches to make gameplay faster. A total disaster imo.

I’ve broken many H3 discs (and bought many reused discs) because of how frustrating it’s campaign makes things for me. I like H1 and H2 for their simplicity. This is missing in H3.
Over the top scripting (sometimes it’s so obvious that you’re broken out of your immersion 5 minutes after you started the mission), accomplishments (teleporting AI), dumb AI (Hornets are open targets, Elites are awful), and terrible choices (deleting AI, killing off AI, disappearing AI, making Hornets drive to their death, death barriers, invisible barriers, terrible checkpoint system that still didn’t change from H2, AI kill stealers, replaying music, AI don’t seem alien and completely break immersion) hinder the game’s potential and enjoyment.
The way I see it, campaign and multiplayer should have been separate discs. H3’s campaign is worth less than $15.

The Jackal snipers aren’t even super lethal. They’re very balanced (they have a delay before firing and miss a lot more) and they’re even more nerfed in ODST.
As for the Brute encounters, some of them can be skipped. Brutes on Sierra 117, The Storm, and The Covenant are pathetic. Brutes on The Ark are probably the only time they are actually dangerous. But I agree that cover was poor and flanking was rare. This is especially the case when fighting Ranged Forms.
