Back at halo fest 343i introduced a guy in a halo 4 master chief suit and he was holding a halo 3 style assault rifle. Mabey that means that the assault rifle is going to be in halo 4 and it’s gonna be like the halo 3 one. Heres a pic.

343i Are not using any models from Reach. They are a firm believer that only Halo 1,2 & 3 should affect the aesthetics of halo 4.
Hopefully the H3 AR model comes back with a vengeance and a few touch-ups, thanks to a new engine.

Side note: halo 4 has been in development since before Reach was announced! So it’d be a waste of development time to back-track and put in the Reach skins.

Canonically speaking, the AR model used in reach is false.
halo 4 is being built by the books, and that demands the proper MA5C Assault Rifle model.
I would be happy with only the CE handgun, the Halo 2 SMG and BR, and the Halo 3 AR.

The MA37 was issued to Army branches, similar to how the MA5B/MA5C was issued to the Marine branches.

I wouldn’t mind the Halo 3 AR in H4, but please 343, improve the sound of it. The one in Halo 3 sounded like a BB gun.
They did say that the sound effects are amazing.

What does the MA37 have to do with the MA5B/MA5C?
It could be possible the MA37 model could replace the MA5B/C if the marines that John meets, are using very old equipment.
Otherwise, the MA5C model would be returning. My Source is Halo 3.

I don’t either, but Halo 4 is a sequel to Halo 3, where it still existed. And I heard that Frankie said something like that he wanted you to feel like a SPARTAN-II as much as possible.
