Will there be a H3A? There’s no doubt that Halo 3 was the pinnacle of the series, it was within the top 3 most popular games on Xbox live until the release of reach. It is in my opinion, the greatest game to ever be made. However, I personally don’t think 343 will make one, based on how badly they screwed up the MCC, and that’s a real -Yoinking!- shame. They’ve ruined the halo series with -Yoink- like halo 4, and trying to appeal to other markets with halo 5. They’ve driven away halo fans with their repeated failures, and I just don’t think they’ll do an H3A. Where would they put it? In the MCC? Most people wouldn’t touch it. Make its own game? But that wouldn’t make sense because it’d be separated from the rest. Point is, I think they -Yoinked!- themselves over too badly to make it.
What are your guys thoughts?
I think that 343 has about the same number of fans as before, which is a shame, because a lot of those fans are new to the Halo series, while many veterans have been driven away. I personally wouldn’t say they’ve ruined Halo, since Halo 5 is actually pretty good, multiplayer wise. While H3A would probably still be pretty profitable, I can’t imagine it being a huge success because of the cluster**** that was the MCC. Moving on to if they’ll actually make it, depends. If Halo 5 population drops too low, they’ll probably make H3A to draw back in old vets. If it remains high, they may skip it and focus on other projects. Let’s say that they do create it, then they’ll mostly likely release it on its own and then as DLC for MCC later. They could also sell it for 40 bucks and give it option of either being played by itself or integrated into MCC if the consumer has MCC already. I don’t really think that they’ve -Yoinked!- themselves over too badly, considering that a lot of people I know who’ve been playing since 2001 really liked Halo 5’s multiplayer, and definitely more than Halo 4. I guess my main point is, it all depends.

If they hadn’t done Halo 3 with the Master Chief Collection, I would be pretty game for this.
The problem with moving to doing Anniversary titles for the 360 games is that where do you stop?
A year later, Halo Wars was released. Are we going to want a remake of that too, when Halo 6 would supposidly be launching?
What about ODST and Reach, and even 4 for that matter? Since Halo 3 there has been a Halo game nearly every year, we can’t keep having remakes of the games every year if we want 343 to produce new games for the franchise.
If you stand in the camp of “They can stop after Halo 3”, then why even bother making it in the first place? Its already running on Xbox One in the MCC.
They could release some sort of graphic DLC for the MCC, but thats DLC for a 3 year old game, one that 343 already seems to have given up on fixing less than a year after launch. That game still has some serious issues, i doubt that 343 are going to get off their butts and start fixing it 3 years later.
They only way I can see this happening is if they do something similar to Halo 3 ODST.
A brand new campaign, that is in some way connected to Halo 3 (like ODST was to 2 and 3), a big map expansion for Halo 5 featuring the best maps from Halo 3, and maybe a Fireright mode. But that is over a year and a half away, are people still going to be playing Halo 5 then?
I don’t think it’s gonna happen. 343 has enough on their plate as it is.
well there always has been a game for the 10 year anniversary so i dont see why not
I want Halo 3 ported on it’s own to Xbox One, along with a few new maps and weapons that 343i has introduced (only on their new maps). Basically what Halo Online is in Russia.
