Halo 3 was made in 2007… so why not make it in 2017?

Nah. Halo 3 Anniversary would be too much. And besides, all the game did was bring Halo to a new platform. It didn’t actually change much from Halo 2, apart from the visual upgrades, armour customisation, forge and achievements.

You do have a point however people have been more concerned about the graphics recently I mean the last time I went into game chat all i heard was a bunch of 2 year-old’s saying repeatedly " graphics,graphics,oh look at these graphics " but I can slightly agree with halo 3 anniversary because it would separate most people from halo CE anniversary and halo 2 anniversary so the servers won’t be so crowded besides halo 3 could use some background upgrades
I think a Halo 3 Anniversary would be a bit much. Not entirely needed since it’s now on next gen on 1080p and 60fps. It still looks pretty decent too. Halo CE and 2 needed remastering because it was two console generations behind.
With that said, I would totally buy a copy of H3A.

Yes.
A Halo 3 Anniversary would be nice, however I have doubts that 343 will actually care that much about it. I love Halo 3 so much, it was always a joy to go home and talk to my friends online and get into matches together. The maps were really great and there was normally a moment in a match were I’d go, " Wow! How did that happen?". The way the fileshare system worked for custom games and clips were fantastic , which I think helped extend the game’s lifespan.
I played it so much, big team was always a riot, doing ranked slayer while chatting with my teammates, the maps and those who made awesome custom maps, and just so much was done right in Halo 3.
Honestly, I just wish 343 would stop copying ideas from other shooters and come up with something that would blow our minds , but also stay true to the original trilogy’s formula. Sadly, all Microsoft seems to care about , is how much money they can make from pre orders and launch sales without thinking of the long term effect. It’d be nice if Halo was in the hands of a developer and publisher who cares :/.
Halo 3 is one of my favourite halos if not my favourite halo and I would love to see it redone in 2017. Halo 2 anniversary was really good in my mind with the advancement that they showed and if 343 does spend the time to make it really good with the technology they will have by that time I think the game will be amazing!

How would they release it? A patch to the MCC that replaces Halo 3’s campaign with a remastered one? And for how much if it’s just DLC? And would it be worth it to remaster an entire campaign and some multiplayer, and I’m sure people will want Forge, all of which is already there and looking pretty good for its age as DLC for a game you also have to pay for?
It wouldn’t be cost-effective.
Then you’d run into the problem of not everyone having that DLC, then you have a Halo 3 classic playlist and a Halo 3 Anniversary playlist along with the already cluttered lobby from CE, 2, H2A, & 4.
It would be chaotic.
They could release it separately. Then what? Split the population between the MCC, Halo 5, and Halo 3 Anniversary?
And to be honest, only the original Xbox games needed the treatment, And doing that for Halo 3 wouldn’t have the same “wow factor”.
Does it look a bit dated? Sure. Will it more so by 2017? Probably. Might I change my tune later? I don’t know.
This would be awesome. Imagine what the technology would be like then after seeing how beautiful H2A was. :o
Halo 3 campaign was great but the multi-player was horrible. Everything great about halo 2 was taken alway in halo 3. Halo 3 in single Handley the reason none of my friends will play halo anymore. Would love to see a remastered campaign But the multi-player could die.

Hope they will get Halo 3 in graphics of Halo 2 Anniversary.
I would like to see Johnson in his new look and the Flood again. Maybe it will come in the future.
