So we have Halo CE Anniversary and Halo 2 Anniversary, but in 2017 will we get Halo 3 Anniversary for free or will we have to pay for it. Personally I can see it being separate from the Master Chief Collection because by 2017 we’ll have more Halo games less people will probably play the Master Chief Collection. What do you guys think and also what additional features/changes would you like to see in it?
I don’t see Halo 3 Anniversary ever happening. It still looks like a great game and doesn’t need the Anniversary treatment even close to as much as Halo CE and Halo 2 did.
we definitely won’t get it for free halo CE anniversary costed money and it will 100 percent be separate from mcc because like you said their will be other halo games out by then and 2017 would be 3 years after mcc launches it wouldn’t make sense to just throw halo 3 anniversary in mcc after 3 years
its possible for a halo 3 anniversary the graphics on halo 3 are still good but by 2017 its not going to match up with other games and I’m thinking they will remake it
No more anniversaries please, I would rather they focused on new games instead of giving us more remakes.
I can see it going two ways. Either they add it on as an add-on to the MCC or they do another Collection where they have Halo 3 anniversary and Halo 3 ODST anniversary along with adding Reach to the Xbox One.
Halo MCC is the definitive collection of Halo games. Remakes should now be put to rest. To have everything on one disc, and then have a H3 Anniversary separately would just be messy.
As people are saying, time to focus on moving forward, onwards and upwards with the Reclaimer trilogy and some new spin-offs on the side!
Why would we get it for free? At this point I would much rather we get ODST 2 or Halo Wars 2. Halo Wars 2 especially. I mean how does the best selling RTS game on the console not deserve a sequel? It was a simplistic RTS but that’s perfectly ok.

the mcc is one the most awesome fan-services in video-game history & trying to “reimagine” H3 could only backfire.
besides that, i’d rather have them spending their ressources on new games instead of remaking old ones.
oh, and H3 will be on Xbox One available anyways in not even a month, not like with H2, what is one of many reasons
why were getting this collection.
I don’t think it needs one. I mean, it’s graphics are not as good as everything else in the MCC, but it’s not bad at the point where it should be remastered.

Halo 3 is my favorite video game of all time, but I don’t think it should get an Anniversary, unless they add it via DLC (which is unlikely to happen).
For one, it’s almost impossible that they’d add to a old (by that time it’ll be old) game, so if we get it I would suspect that it’d be for sale separately and not free. I think they’ll do it because everyone will love it and it’s another chance to use Blur for the cinematics. By then think how good they could upgrade to graphics to also.
No, it does not need an anniversary treatment, and is pointless. There is no reason for it to be remade. End of discussion.

They can’t have remakes forever. Imagine Halo 4 anniversary. Halo 4 will probably never be deemed a classic game. Halo1, and 2 definitely are classic, so it’s fine for them to get remakes.
I like how some people in this thread are replying as if this were going to actually happen. We have Halo 3 in 1080p, 60fps, all original maps with dedicated servers.
Meaning that even if they did do a Halo 3 Anniversary the only change we would get would be prettier graphics. Everything else has already been done, there’s is literally no need for it.
I don’t think they will make an anniversary edition. Maybe an hd remake of maps for the latest halo game.
Probably not gonna happen lol. Anniversaries for Halo are done I think.
