I know this is the area for Halo 5 posts but seeing that there is no designated Halo 3: Anniversary section yet I thought I would post my ideas here where the most people would see it.
Halo 3: Anniversary is starting to appear on the horizon and I for one hope 343 ends up making it, as they have for Halo CE and 2 (I don’t see why they wouldn’t. They have been knocking the anniversaries out of the park), and I am getting excited just thinking about its potential. I wanted to explain some of the aspects I would like to see in the game, assuming it ends up being created. I think they should remaster the campaign as they have with the previous 2 anniversaries which would include the toggle between classic and remastered graphics.
Additionally I would like to see the best multiplayer maps be remade, but not just 6 or 7 like Halo 2: Anniversary. I think Halo 3 had enough awesome maps (Pit, Guardian, Vallhala, Avalanche, High Ground, Sandtrap, Construct, Narrows, Standoff, etc) to justify there being 10 to 12 maps remade.
Lastly, I would love to see a firefight mode added to Halo 3: Anniversary within the campaign (Obviously with the same feel, gameplay and engine the campaign already has). They should include a firefight map for each level like the last section on Sierra 117 and the hangar section of Crow’s Nest. Also large scale firefight maps which would include scorpions, scarabs, other vehicles and heavy weapons could take place in the large open arenas of Storm, The Ark and Covanent specifically where the scarab battles occur.
Oh and you might as well dream big, it would be unbelievably incredible if there was some type of multiplayer scarab assault game mode in H3A (some guy made a prototype mod in halo 3 of this but there were some technicalities that never worked out). Anyway, what are your thoughts, expectations, ideas and hopes for Halo 3: Anniversary.
