The Halo 3 port to PC has been amazing so far and is easily the best port out of the collection seemingly bug-free. 343 has really done a great job in providing a great Halo experience, and while I do have a problem with the MCC not being outfitted for new players, I can happily play the games with my friend.
However, while playing with a friend on Halo 3 who has never played a Halo game before, he stated that the game looked “old.”
I couldn’t figure out for the life of me how he thought the game didn’t look that great. I can maybe understand that compared to most modern games the texture may not be as detailed. I used to think the game is ageless, but if you take a deeper look at the game and cutscenes, and the god awful lip-syncing… (Please refer to SGT Johnson’s scene.) You’ll start to notice it’s age. Blur studios and the team behind reskinning Halo 2’s campaign did a near perfect job in every way. Scenes had more weight to them, they looked beautiful, and the sound design and graphics were god-like. Unfortunately, most new players continuity with the games, specifically Halo CE-2, is experienced through the anniversary graphics. Believe it or not, most players will notice the quality drop from Halo 2 to Halo 3, and inherently make Halo 3 appear inferior based on that alone.
With Xbox Series X coming out, we could not only release it with Halo Infinite, but release Series X with the long awaited Halo 3 Anniversary as well. As far as making it a separate game or not is up for debate. Like I said, I love Halo 3 just the way it is. But I want others to love the game just as much as I do, and it deserves that anniversary treatment.
I love this idea and since Halo CE Anniversary and Halo 2 Anniversary were both released 10 years after the originals, it is overdue by 3 years now!
DO IT!!! I was waiting for Halo 3 Anniversary and it never came out. It would be great to play CE, 2 & 3 with updated graphics.

I can’t tell you how many boring remasters are out there for XB1 that were games on OG Xbox or Xbox 360. I don’t need it, or want it. I want great original games.

would be amazing, and I would buy it with no doubt. I wish it released 15 years after the original release, I like the halo 3 graphics but I think they need a remaster. But let´s wait, altough we all be thankfulled with 343.
Halo OG players want Halo 3 remastered with full MP remade maps more than what’s coming next. Halo 3 will at least get an RT patch in the future.
