Seeing how Halo Online was (though short lived due to legal issues) very good at waking peoples interest in Halo again, I think having a Halo 3 Aniversary on PC would have been a good move in hindsight, but I do understand that 343 wants to allocate thier resources on the upcoming Halo title to make it as polished as possible (hopefully without any MTX).
Heres my question, do you think that releasing a full remastered Halo 3 for both PC and Xbox for 60$ would be a good idea, and if no why?
Have a good one
I highly doubt they will and even if they did it might go into the MCC, but it is a good idea.

Which is something we want. If they did remaster it I’d buy it.
Well, in 343’s most recent news, they said that they were VERY aware that the community really wants Halo on PC and announce of a possible classic Halo game coming to PC, partnered with the cancelled mod’s developers (I’m not going to say the name). It doesn’t have to be H3A, but I’m sure it will be a good classic title.

(Sure mods dish out a ban for simply commenting about their decision to shut down Halo Online where I defend 343i but they let this one go, and deservingly so I’ll add.
)
To the question, in my opinion, a remastered Halo 3 at $60 is not worth it if that’s all you get with it. I would much prefer they just add it to MCC. That way, the real classics like H1 and H2 can keep a population boost.
If they are bringing these games to PC, I just hope they don’t screw it up because Halo, and FPSs in general, historically have been less fun on PC cause they always adjust the bullet and aiming mechanics. Halo PC and Halo 2 Vista were far inferior to the originals for a reason. I think it would work, though, if they give the ability to change those mechanics to give identical feel to the console counterparts. I will be optimistic since positivity is more fun.

Halo PC was a great version of the original. People like to hate because it’s Halo on PC but the original game was a perfectly good game and still has a large community.
Pros:
- First Halo with online multiplayer
- Higher framerate
- Higher resolutions
- Large modding scene
- Free add on (Halo Custom Edition)
- Dedicated Servers
Cons
- No co-op campaign
- Servers that did not use SAPP will still require you to lead your shots due to the Dial-up support in its netcode.
- Some shaders do not work properly with NVIDIA GPU’s but can be fixed by the user in a few minutes.
Halo 2 Vista on the other hand, by all means, that game was terrible. Say anything you want about it because apart from the higher resolutions, achievements and framerate, the whole game was a terrible, terrible PC port. There are so many reasons why that port failed and why HPC is still active to this day.
