Halo 3 es mas estrategia
Halo 5 have best gameplay
Wow, not even 20 seconds into the video and already I lost respect for BDobbinsFTW.
People complain about game being like CoD/Battlefield.
People complain that the games needs to be more like them.
And, as many wise sages in this thread have said, it’s 10 months until the game comes. If they blow their load this quickly, it’ll ruin the suspense and pre-orders.
Are you serious…?
r
With halo i rather they add a few small thing instead of a bunch of big things
Really? Your spelling sure as -Yoink- isn’t “next gen”. Wow.

> The current gen is nothing more than 0.5 of the last gen. They just have more space and a bit more power. The “next gen” advancement is and will ammount to only more data space and better graphics this go around. Notice how theres not much a big diffrence between the new games and late 360 games?
>
> Its been some while since the Xbone came out notice theres no mythical next gen titles? Come back in 5 years maybe then.
> If youve paid attention its been known since the time we called it a 720
60 frames is the selling point for me. People that don’t notice the difference shouldn’t call themselves gamers.
NO. No they are not.
Ew no, stop trying to turn it into some second rate battlefield game.
Plus increasing the visual fidelity and frame rate to 60 fps is already a huge jump, just making it superficially bigger doesn’t make it better.
If halo 5 was on 360, it wouldn’t even be 720p, and graphically it would have awful textures and lack of detail. Something halo has always had is a great attention to detail. Also it would probably run at something like 15 to 25 fps. Shadow of mordor can’t even make 30fps on the xbox360, and can’t even make 20 on the ps3. Also i doubt the 360 would be able to handle the all the game content, without being put on like 8 seperate disks. The 360 is almost dead. It has maybe 2 years left. 3, possibly, but that is pushing it. It’s time to get an xbox one if you haven’t already.
I believe the “next gen” capabilities will be shown more in campaign. Growing up from playing NES, ever generation was defined by
- Better graphics- smoother framerates- more AI- more features etc
I think Halo 5 will show off its “next gen” in campaign with more AI, larger battles, longer campaign, amazing sound and visual effects
In a multiplayer sense, we already see an evolution with dedicated servers, increased frame rates, twitch streaming, Game DVR etc.
we are saying a beta a year from launch is rubbish and that Halo is dead based on this tiny beta phase?
we have seen nothing of the campaign…
graphics are always much better in campaigns.
MP wise i feel like 343i are going back to the roots with map / weapon control. focusing on 4v4 arena small/medium map size. balanced starts (no loadouts)
personally i still play the game like any other halo (hardly use ADS) sprint is used occasionally but in a tactical way (not just fleeing every single battle).
i like that the spartans feel “fast on the their feet” and “powerful” cause thats what spartans are right ? super soldiers ?

> the real reason is that halo 5 is not that next gen because of the community is not really supporting much of creative new ideas.
This is the worst excuse I’ve ever heard. Even if it was true, think about what you’re saying. If the community doesn’t like the changes being implemented and 343 says, “screw what you think, you don’t know what’s good for you so we’re changing the game anyway”, what do you think the outcome is going to be?
You make it sound like the community just needs to accept and like change for 343 to make a successful Halo. I don’t think people mind if there’s change, they just don’t like the way 343 is doing it. On top of that, what is truly unique about Halo 5 that makes is so special?
Next-gen must be the least well defined term ever.
lol…
Besides there are no “next-gen” consoles anymore. The hardware was lackluster compared to PCs to begin with, and its been over a year since both consoles have been out soooo… its more like “current-gen” and “last-gen”
> Halo 5 only defining features is Spartan abilities and they can probably do that on the 360 as well.
Let’s jump back to around 2007;
Wow, Halo 3 isn’t next gen, the only defining features are slightly larger map sizes and equipment. This could be done on the original xbox. No reason to buy it if it’s just going to be making minor changes.
That’s how ridiculous this entire thread is.

I think this is the issue here. What is next gen anyway. Anything and everything requiring a lot of processing power to run? So H5 has to have some really large scale/high quality things to be considered next gen? Not that such features or whatever is bad but it seems like the whole point of this thread is “I need excuses to keep my 360”.

> “Next gen” has nothing to do with the gameplay. If “next gen” means superfluous gimmicks for the hell of it then count me out. Solid, balanced core gameplay is what matters. Halo 5 has done a generally good job at returning to Halo’s roots despite the hate it’s getting. Even starts are back, arena 4v4 is the focus, maps are small-medium, loadouts and AAs are out. It’s not perfect but it’s trying to be what it should be.
I agree Gameplay comes first and any gimmick additions that work I’m sure would be welcome.
I’m not sure if it’s “what it should be” though in terms of AAs and loadouts. For a large group of my friends they got into halo primarily because of Armor Abilities. It’s one of the few games that can get away with such a concept, it brought something new to first person shooters that was both enjoyable and competitive. I understand the whole “even” thing though, as long as it doesn’t get bland and dull, which so far I admit the Halo 5 Beta is not bland or dull despite getting rid of the armor abilities.
Halo 1 and 2 were the only ones without armor abilities, whilst they were successful games in their own rights I think it’s a bit of a step back, even to get to its roots, to take out a feature that a lot of people have adapted to, grown into, and nearly come to expect from next instalments. I’m not saying the “Spartan Abilities” isn’t a good substitute for “Armor Abilities” but it’s definitely going to be something that will be missed, by me and nearly all my friends anyway. I wonder how they’d include stuff like active camo and jetpacks, and if they don’t it already makes me feel slightly disappointed.
I’m sure Halo 5 will bring lots of fun regardless like every Halo in my opinion has, but there is only so much you can take out and replace before people start getting worried.
16vs16 btb would be insane.
Make this happen 343
