I contacted Microsoft support to pertaining to achievements relocking in Halo 3. They directed me to post here. I had purchased my original Xbox 360 back in May of 2009. When I purchased the console I picked up Halo 3. At the time I didn’t have an internet connection. I took my Xbox over to a friends house who did and created my Xbox Live account. I then played Halo 3 offline, without an internet connection, and earned achievements. I then transferred my profile to said friends Xbox whom had internet. After I transferred my profile back onto my 360. This is when I first notice that the achievements earns had been re-locked. The problem is that I can’t reunlock them. I know this kind of a pettty complaint but I was told that if I posted here that someone maybe able to help. Also I just repurchased Halo 3 and my OCD is bugging me that they’re permalocked. lol
Hold on. Did you contact a Microsoft representative or a go to their community support forums? The official Microsoft representatives do this all the time. When there is a problem they don’t care to fix or don’t know how, they send people here where we usually can’t help them.
Try this if you haven’t. Forums 4 or 3 might be able help, it depends on where you want to stick it. I’m not guaranteeing they will be able to help you, but a lot of them know more then most of us here.
Now my suggestion is to try and transfer it back to your friend’s Xbox and see what happens. Then transfer it back to your Xbox. That is all the help I can think of is just try to do a re-transfer and hope it works. Sorry if I’m of no help.

Achievements are unlocked via the Xbox Live service. Therefore, you will need to reach out to them for this issue. We hope they can get you sorted.
