nothing can touch how well Bungie did MM for Halo 3… they listened to there fans and gave them what they wanted …
Halo 2 and 3 where great games for online play nothing will every be as good as they did it clearly.
People that made this game calling them selves fans of halo and sending us halo 4 MM is a joke.
The only thing they were a fan out was the story… cus that’s the only thing they could do right… was tell a story … not a story with replay value may I add… but a good story that you wanted to here once
I really am not that upset with change in a game… All the AA suck but I understand a game needs something new… Im upset about them changing key points of how the game is played so that it plays like a new game.
The game your playing is a good one but, its clears not a Halo game. The game might look and have Some Halo concepts to it but, frankly they took and and change so much if it to be like a new/other game.
I thought that reach was an udder failure but, at least when I played it it still felt like halo… this is on a whole new level of suck… to the point of me not buying a new halo game…
Way to not fix your game or tell people on here your trying… 343i Good luck with sales on Halo 5 your gonna need it
> Halo 3 was good for its time, admittedly rank and veto were better then voting and progression system,
>
> Other then that It plays like a 5 year old game, it’s tired
Really? I went back and played it the other day in customs and had way more fun than I ever did with 4. Halo 4 is unbalanced, and a diluted version of Halo. Have you seen the aim assist? The DMR is over powered enough, but everyone can get a five shot with the thing its so easy to use. MM shouldn’t hold your hand, especially in Halo.
I think the big issue with the changes is the fact that multiplayer is a highly competitive side of gaming these days. How many games had multiplayer when H2 was out?
Im certainly not disagreeing with you, I just think that the multiplayer market has gotten very competitive in itself, a game developer is going to have to offer some new things that have appeared in other games, innovated new ones and yeah maintain some of the old goodness.
It does boil down to money, it sucks but its the basic foundation of it all. The overall multiplayer market will dictate future changes more than fan demand in my opinion when it comes to the Halo 5 multiplayer.

while that is true the halo 3 system offered something for everyone. They could have just updated the engine and expanded on Halo 3s gameplay and it would have been fine.
> Halo 3 was a fantastic game half a decade ago. I am pleased with Halo 4.
alright well I feel everyone is “pleased” with Halo 4 because Reach wasn’t so good, but in all fairness, Reach at least took skill and had a much better customs and forge system. Halo 4 is way too unbalanced and is way too noob friendly. I described it to one of my friends like this. Halo 3 was fantastic because if you had never played Halo before, you could pick up a controller, jump into social and have a grand old time with friends and other people, but if you were a Halo Vet, you could jump into a ranked playlist and still mop the floor with everyone because you had more skill. Add the gorgeous custom games and swap Halo 3 for Reach’s forge and give it some prettier graphics and Reach’s roster and armor customization and you have the perfect game. If Halo 3 had released like this 2 years ago and Reach had never been made, you can be damn sure everyone would be calling Halo 4 the worst game of all time. In all honesty I hate to play the blame game, but any really Halo breaking things were born in Reach(which is why it was so unpopular), but seriously if you remove Reach, you remove already:
The DMR
AAs especially jetpack
The terrible jump height and long shield recharge delay
Bloom
Spartans v elites(which les to no elites at all)
The super long range shotgun
and more
But yes I don’t think Halo 4 is a bad game, but it isn’t a halo game per say. It could be so much better, but they kept all of these bad ideas and got rid of other good ideas like invasion. I could really go on still but I have ranted enough and for that I di apologize.

When you have passion for a Game you tend to have a lot to say… No need to apologize
Halo 3 was a dumbed down Halo 2 multiplayer experience. So to get the perfect Halo game you need to look at CE and 2. Especially if you want to base it around skill.

The Halo play style was “timeless”.
People love to sit on here and talk about “adapting to change”
or “get with the times” because if you’re a true halo fan you’ll play whatever garbage a company dishes out. People claim if Halo didn’t change that the game would get stale lol.
And to that I LAUGH.
Look at Call of Duty. I put out the EXACT same multiplayer experience 2 times a year, and their sales and players far exceed Halo.
why? Because at least Call of Duty players can look forward to predictability.
Will the game have new kill streaks, perhaps a new gun? YES, but its still Call of Duty.
Halo 4 is a piece of trash. It is a failed hybrid in an attempt to sway Call of Duty players. Instead of being greedy 343 needs to realize that if someone wants Cod, they’ll buy it. I want Halo back
This. I also love all the new “pros” that have come from battlefield and cod that are telling the original fans that they need to get better and that they aren’t real fans. Makes me flip a table every time. I honestly hope 343 releases a balancing TU for this game and for Halo 5 re-implement social, and bring back the Halo 2 or 3 system with slight modifications. Also how about they dont screw up the UI to the absolutely disgusting system Halo 4 has. Sales are sales, but Halo was more than capable of doing that itself without implementing shoddy cod ideas. 343 did well with the story, but matchmaking is a disaster in this game and in this day and age we all know matchmaking is a significant part of any game if not the most important.
Guess what I’m upset too. I try to find so many reason to keep playing this game and I can’t find one:
its only fun if your playing with you friends and being “social”
noone has a mic or ever uses one which induces no excitement
its like COD
Match making is not exciting
Great Story
No motivation to play any objective type games. BTB featuring objective games was the best time of my life! (figuratively speaking)
Bring back Social (i just realized that was alot of fun)
Matching making is not exciting.
don’t get my wrong I know Halo 2 was the most skillful one to play cus of the glitches and I loved that… but I feel with how games are now people cry to much about that stuff so halo 3 was set up well in that manor
and yes I here people talkin about if you don’t change it would be stale. But honestly COD says normaly the same with few changes and it worked for them why would that not work for halo?? Like Halo 2 was the most popular game on live until Gears of War and Halo 3 had a long time of people always playing the game.
I can see why these were former Bungie employees… This MM they made don’t pass for a Halo game at all.
Hahahaha wait what is this Match Making system you all speak of? I haven’t heard those words together since H3. Oh! You say there is MM in H4?! Show me! Whatever system you are thinking about is not MM at all. No option for search types (skill, connection, region etc.), no “ranking system”, no set playlists, no competitive playlists, tailored towards mindless 10 year olds wanting a LAAZZZOOOORRRRR.
Really 343…you came up with THIS?!
Don’t even get me started on clears throat File share, Forge, Custom games, map rotation, map numbers, objective, latency, community, AA, Aim Assist, 343 “Promises”, Theater, Campaign Scoring, ORDINANCE DROPS (??!?!!?!?!), Map Control, MLG, and Load Outs (WTF!?)
Yea they’re pulling bioshock infinite with the file share system. Well have it up in a month, whoops forgot were all going on holiday vacation, are still working on a game that’s not 100% complete. So early 2013, when’s early in a year? Could be anywhere from January to March! I only ask how. How can they adapt the same engine from Reach, but still be so unprepared even with 3 years development and of all the things to leave out, the file browser? Why not just leave out the now terrible theater and update that in, but no…
Halo 3 had many good maps. Many were symmetrical.
It had 10 second spawn times.
It had weapons that spawn on regular intervals.
It had a ranking system.
It had people with ranks.
Some gameplay things H4 does a lot better in my opinion. But without a couple of the things listed above it doesn’t matter. The ranking system being the most important I think.

This. I don’t care about randomly dropping weapons so much, but that list, combined with some other factors were the defining points of Halo. I don’t even know why they went with loadouts, I don’t really care for them and wouldn’t miss them.
I like Reach a little better overall because it had better armor, ranks, and it had voting. It also added a ton of new things but it still felt like Halo. Unlike Halo 4…
