blame microsoft
Buy a Xbox problem solved.

Dumb response is dumb. PC gaming is dead. The reason Halo 3/4/Reach will never be on PC is because less than %50 of pc gamers actually purchase games. Why spend millions of dollars on something everyone will just download?
Not to mention the PC crowd kind of looks at Halo as the red headed stepchild of FPS games. It’s slow, loaded with aim assist, and designed for a controller. None of those appeal to real PC gamers.
you cant say that for everyone that attitude shows your one of the criminal scum, its not fair to steal things, not like you would walk into a shop and steal something is it ?
Wrong forum.
agreed there nk

Ever heard of a Jtag? those people can also just download Halo. Your argument is invalid.

I didn’t say “I” download games illegally (my PC can’t handle most modern games), but the fact of the matter is most pc gamers DO. PC gaming is not profitable. No publisher would piss away cash on something they already know won’t make their money back.

Yes, because Jtag is standard on every xbox, making it extremely easy for every xbox owner to do it. No, YOUR argument is invalid. PC’s don’t require any additional hardware or pricey modifications to bootleg, merely a mouse click.
This will not happen as Halo is exclusive to Xbox only and the main reason why people buy Xbox is because of halo. If halo were ported to pc, this would greatly affect the sales of Xbox 360 and the new assumed Xbox 720.
More and more people on PC just download games these day for free and illegally there is your answer, microsoft know better than to lose money to people who can afford to pay for the expensive gaming computer but can’t be bothered to pay for the game, i’m not saying all PC gamers are like this but i’m just saying, there are people out there who do.
Piracy is not the reason why Halo is xbox’s exclusive. Even with lots of illegal downloads it’s profitable to make games for PC. (Consider Valve games, Blizzard and most of the multi-platform titles). The reason why Halo is xbox’s exclusive is because it belongs to MS and it’s a very good reason to buy the console. (It was one of the reasons why I bought xbox 360, the second was GoW)
Btw, pirated copy =/= lost consumer, not even close. In fact, used games market is often considered a higher threat by developers.
Edit: I think it’s quite possible that Halo 3, ODST, and Reach will be ported for PC after the new xbox generation comes out. It may be a good promotion for Halo 4,5,6 and xbox “720”, just like PC versions of Halo 1 and 2 for Halo 3.
do you see Mario on PC? Do you see Other PS3 exclusive games on PC?
no…they are called killer apps for a reason

Mario is not the flagship franchise biggest PC publisher on the planet. Neither is Sony.

Just like I said. Many people wouldn’t buy the game if it wasn’t possible to pirate it. Developers don’t receive money in any case.
The main reason that there hasn’t been a halo PC game since halo 2 vista is that they simply don’t sell enough units to be profitable. Microsoft saw this and decided that selling a PC version of halo reach, 4, 3, anniversary, or ODST wouldnt sell and were thus a waste of time, money, and resources. It doesnt when help People can simply download games now off the web from places that offer these games for free on the PC, thus making it even less profitable for microsoft to make a PC halo. Emulators will probably be available eventually for previous halo games, that’s probably the closest thing that halo pc people will get.
Because back when they released halo ce and halo 2, it was on the original xbox… Since most people had a ps2 back then, microsoft decided to put it on pc. More money for them… But now, ppl love the new xbox 360 and halo is selling in the million copies…
So way should they put it on pc?
