Does anyone know of any sources that show footage of them running, or any first hand confirmation? Are they still locked at 30fps? I’ll still play if they are (obviously), but it would be great to have a heads-up.

There isn’t any footage yet but here’s a picture the custom games lobby:
They are simply running on an Xbox 360 emulator so I don’t think it’s possible for the frame rate to increase. Load time may slightly improve however.
All the back compat titles are running at their native 30 frames-per-second.

can we please get a hint of release is it around the original release of halo 3 and is it in the same month of the original release date ya know September
I really don’t care as long as the gameplay isn’t broken. Playing halo 3 on MCC is fake halo. I just want real gameplay
It’s gonna be good to play Halo 3 again. Just gonna grind out that exp to get to my 5 star General!
