Having trouble with og halo 3 servers. “Information could not be retrieved from the halo 3 server.” Reach was working the other day fine. I wanted to rank up as much as I can before December, anyone else having this problem?
Yeah it states “information could not be retrieved from xbox live” for a few days now. I wanted to grind the remaining MP achievements and rank up before servers shut down
Yea, it’s a problem on my end too. I’m sure they know about this issue, but it seems like this has been a recurring problem for a few weeks now.
Edit: it’s also hard to find anybody talking about this since everybody’s just talking about the server shutdowns in December. Glad I’m not alone here.
Same issue here. Don’t understand how I was in a party with friends though and some were fine to start matchmaking and we were in the party too and it didn’t cut everyone out. We all got into a game because one of our friends had no issue. So made him the leader and bam, it’s fine. Me searching on my own, I can’t even choose a playlist. Info could not be retrieved online. This was last night

I was a little afraid this issue with Matchmaking would be selective, that means many won’t notice it and it’s less likely to be reported.
Luckily it seems like we’re not the only ones having troubles, so it is a real problem.

360 Halo 3 isnt working this morning, but I’m still messing with it, if I get into matchmaking I will be sure to post it up.

I found a trick that’s been getting me past the " couldn’t load information from xbox live. I go to the custom games menu, then I back out and go to matchmaking. If it says the same old “couldn’t retrieve info” back out and go back into custom games menu and try again. After 2 tries it started actually loading, and while it was loading I switched the playlist to Rumble Pit. It loaded for a minute and then it will say READY/Start Matchmaking. My information is loading up on my service record as well, unlike before

I just went into the custom menu. I found another way that works where as soon as you go into matchmaking, you quickly press up an A to choose a playlist. Then switch it to team slayer and it will say matchmaking is ready. I can make a video of how I do it real quick

Thanks for posting, I was able to get into the search for Team slayer, but that was all I was able to do. I’m still locked out of all other playlists unfortunately.
I hope whatever is going on gets fixed soon

Servers still down, tried the switching lobby method but didn’t work. Such a shame as my friend and I are trying to get achievements.
I was able to get 3 achievements yesterday, now all I need are 6 lone wolves achievements. I’m still checking it everyday and chatting with different people. There are many players talking to xbox support, so we are hoping that will help get it fixed. I recommend everyone call xbox support at least once

Same issue Spartans, I submitted a ticket on here and on insider hub. Let’s hope we get it gets resolved soon. Only been happening to me for just over a week.
