If 343 remakes Halo 2 it will be incredibly awesome,I Would definitely look forward to it.And make it a current Xbox 360 title and name it Halo 2 Anniversary
it should be done. but one of the others need a remake. cos they are all xbox 360 games
I honestly dont want one. Maybe just some more Halo 2 maps as a Halo 4 map-pack or something.
Not gonna happen, and I hope it never does.
> Not gonna happen.
not gonna happen but its a shame, i love halo 2 and that would be awesome

Yeah, it will happen, there’s too much money at stake for MS to pass up. Several H2 haters is not going to sway the day.
To those who say “it wont happen” what makes you so certain??? People said that after Halo 3 there would be no more. After Halo Reach no more. And that there would Never be a Halo CE Remake, and yet look at what happened.
You do realize that they didnt make CEA JUST because it was the 10th anniversary, right? It was good timing, with 343 overtaking Halo and whanot, needing to make it known and all. They didnt do it to say that every 10th anniversary, they are going to remake a game.

They did it to make a lot of money, period. 343 is owned by MS and MS did not put out CEA to make themselves known, 343 was already known. They did it to make money and that’s why they will do a remake of H2, imo.
Everyone keep posting, buying the dlc maps (another ms money-maker) and playing on live and the game will be made. Oh yes, it will be made.
I can’t wait to play Halo 2 Anniversary in 2014.
This should be done. but none of the other halo games need a remake since they are all on xbox 360
Yeah, AND MAKE A PC VERSION TOO!
While I’m definitely not against it, if they remake Halo 2, by the time they’re done, Halo 3 is going to be outdated. Then they do Halo 3, and reach will be outdated. It’s just going to be an endless cycle. Plus it’s more resources they could be putting toward Halo 5 and 6.

Nobody is asking for a remake because H2’s outdated, we are simply asking to have H2 back online like it used to. They don’t have to remake other games because H2 is the only Halo game not on Live.
Most (imo) would prefer it stay exactly the same, just get it back online. Plus Microsoft owns 343 and can hire as many people as necessary to concentrate on each game, including H2 remake. That old argument does not hold water, it’s as if people think there’s a little office somewhere with frantic game makers multitasking from one game to the next. This is not so.

Why can’t anyone understand this concept?
They CANNOT just be ‘turned back on.’ It would be like systematically removing all the wiring from New York City. The electricity cant just be “turned back on,” it would need to be recreated, in essence. Halo 2 online is gone, not sitting in a corner somewhere gathering dust, but deconstructed and reconstructed as new servers.

Why can’t you understand we are asking for a remake, not for the severs to be turned back on. Why can’t you get that?

Just get it back online is only asking for a remake?

That’s what this topic is about. Where did I say ‘turn the severs on’? Remake it and get it back online, is that clear enough for you? Stick with the topic.
