Roomer has it that Peter Jackson is working on a Halo Movie this year. Lets hope it does not collapse like before.
There was a similar rumor. Except instead of Peter Jackson, it was Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks and the release date was 2012. Quite frankly I find it very hard to believe that Peter Jackson would be involved because he stated before when the previous movie collapsed that if Microsoft asked him to come back, he wouldn’t, not to mention he is currently engaged fully with The Hobbit Part 1 and 2.
Not gonna happen any time soon.
Eh, don’t hold your breath for it. It’ll happen when Valve learns do count to 3. As in never.
I want to watch…

Guess you didn’t hear the news that Valve stated they were going to tell everyone that they were making a third title for one of their game series.

Ah but Jackson could be a producer, which was his original intention because the old Halo movie was to be directed by Neill Blomkamp. Jackson and Spielberg have both shown interest in making a Halo film at one point and both have teamed up to recently create The Adventures of Tin Tin which had Jackson as producer and Spielberg as director.
Isn’t plausible to believe these two could team up to make Halo as well? That would be one epic movie if they did.
I really hope they don’t make a Halo movie anytime soon. Adaptations always have problems and videogames more so. A Halo movie would probably turn into a pile of walking cliches, the more Spielberg is involved, the truer that will be.

Roomer.
Source?
Rumor.
Anyway I’d only like to see a Halo movie if it had an enormous budget (to justify this enormous space opera) as well as being directed by Blomkamp. His few short-films based on the Halo universe were epic and really that’s the only way I’d like to watch a Halo movie, something that depicts the gritty aspect of war but does justice to the Covenant races and technology.

A Halo movie doesn’t nesseserily need a huge budget.
Personaly I think that The Mona Lisa short story would be a great movie adaptation, and it wouldn’t cost the Earth.
It would be like Alien meets a zombie movie
If this was sucsesful, it would show the big movie companies like WB, Paramount and Fox that a Halo movie is gonna make them money.
I hope not, i don’t see how anyone could make a halo film without butchering it
