Halo 2 Vista

So yeah, I sold my Halo 2 copy over a year ago, which in retrospect was a bad decision as I in the last month have gotten this sudden urge to play it again.

However, seeing as I’m not american and hence don’t own the american version of H2, or rather won’t be able to get it, I can’t play it on the 360. So I was thinking about buying H2 Vista and so we come to my questions. If I purchase H2 Vista and install it on a Win 7 PC or Laptop, will it still be able to “work”? I’ve heard others saying that there were som issues with it, so I want some second opinions or confirmations rather. And since I want to be able to play Halo with at least the 360 controller, a wired controller works perfectly, correct?

And seeing as I only have a Win 7 laptop, at least at the moment, I’m thinking about connecting my monitor to said laptop by DVI, which would work or have I gotten it completely messed up here? As I’m probably the least technical person in the world I’m kind of iffy when it comes to these sorts of things so I would be really grateful if someone could confirm or tell me the “answers” to these questions, and if not so perhaps one of them?

If not, then I’m sorry I wasted your time. If so, then I’ll give you the damn best cookies you’ve ever seen.

Yes, it works on Windows 7 and you can use a 360 controller to play. I don’t know how it would run on your laptop, but it runs fine on my Windows 7 64 bit desktop.

Okay, thanks a lot. Yeah, I realize that a laptop probably isn’t optimal but that is my least concern right now. Again, thank you.

Works fine on Windows 7, and yeah, you can use a wired controller.

Campaign might be a little choppy though…

I have it on my laptop.

Alienware M17x
Windows 7 x64
4GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 260M 1GB
500 GB HDD (90% free)
Wired Xbox360 Controller

I’m able to run at max settings and still have fairly fluent gameplay with no input lag.
