Why does halo waypoint not include Halo 2 Vista. The games is still current and has live support. As well as achievements which was the first halo game to include them. It just seems old to me that is does not support it. I understand why Halo 1, halo 2 and Halo PC are not supported because they do not have live support now. Any thoughts on this, is it because it a pc game, Or is there another reason?
I would say it is because it is a PC game. Or, to be more specific, it is the only “Games for WindowsLive” Game, of all those Halo Games with Achievements. So yes, it really looks like Waypoint only supports the “Console” versions of the Halo series.
I do not dare to hope, that 343 will somehow incorporate the Halo2Vista achievements into the main carrier section at waypoint and add it to the total Halo gamerscore. But what they could do is to add some little extra section for the Halo2Vista achievements.
So it would not interfere with the “main” carrier section, and still those Halo2PC fans would see their achievements at Waypoint.
Maybe they do that someday, would be cool.
I agree, I would like a separate area for it to just acknowledge it. The fact is that halo games are also on the pc so waypoint should have something for them. I mean I don’t see halo 2 vista the last game on pc. And to be honest if we could get more halo games to come out for pc we can have cross play. And some will say its unfair but if they do cross play then they can require you to use a 360 controller to play with 360 players. I like the halo 2 vista so far though I just bought it because where I live it was a night mare to find. But I bought a wired 360 controller to play that and halo 1. I don’t know I prefer controller for FPS and keyboards for MMOs (I have a cataclysm keyboard) But anyway for those who have and games for windows do you know why you can not party chat but only private chat?
I know this is an old thread but going back to Halo 2 Vista being the only none console game with achievements, this is simply not the case now as halo Spartan assault is not a console game (one is on a windows phone 8 and one is on windows 8)so if the only thing stopping them was halo 2 vista wasn’t a console game then they should now incorporate it into waypoint just like Spartan assault (apologies for repeating myself if I did) and also apologies for posting on this thread if you didn’t want a post like mine on here
I would agree to your view.
Bringing up a thread from March of 2012 is a bit excessive. There are other, more current, threads out there.
