I am having to reinstall Halo 2 Vista onto my PC as I am suddenly having issues with it running with the new update to Halo 2 Online (Project Cartographer). Anyway I am wanting to backup my saved game files for Campaign (so I can keep all the campaign missions unlocked) as well as my profile so I have everything as it was before I had to reinstall. However I am not having much luck trying to locate my profile and saved game files. There are two files in my ‘Saved Games’ folder - D:\Users\XXXXX\Saved Games\Halo 2 : LETHAL DRONE.Halo 2 and preferences.dat. There are also three files under C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Halo 2\Saved Games\S0000000 titles auxilary.bin , profile and savemeta.bin . So I am wanting to know if these are the files I should backup and transfer over? There doesn’t seem to be any files located in the installation folder on my drive that shows game history data and saves. It would be a big help if anyone could give me some info. Also sorry for the confusion - I have two hard drives in which my user folders and games are installed on D drive while C drive is my boot drive as well as where my Appdata is. Also with me using the Project Cartographer mod, this kind of disables the GFWL client.
